I haven't read everything here and I wasn't implying that there's anything wrong with taking the win since it's in the rules. But I was just pointing out how most were reluctant to win that way so they extended things a little instead.
there have been plenty who had the opportunity but they usually let the guesses keep going beyond the limit in order for one of the players to win. what's rare is someone taking the win that way rather than extending the game so they wouldn't.

As others have mentioned, some have (I'll add Robert Rodriguez and his Troublemaker Studios). But you're taking a lot for granted with the rest of your assumptions -- esp about the idea of "extra profits" as well as thinking no other entity besides your studio would be involved.

To be honest, I've handled it pretty well. I think I tuned into YES mostly to hear yammering about the implications of the new rules and short season on roster construction. That's the one good thing about all this; it's fresh with lotsa different angles to consider.
