Too sad. On of the very creative musical souls has gone. He will be in our hearts and live on through his wonderful music!

shareSheeeit. I was just listening to Gui la testa (Duck you Sucker) soundtrack an hour ago.
RIP maestro!
RIP he was awesome. I recently discovered the song named "Dance On" he made as soundtrack of the movie "Cosi' come sei" with Marcello Mastroianni and Nastassja Kinski. A great track indeed!

It states he went into hospital with a broken femur a few days ago.. without knowing more details surely that shouldn't have resulted in death?.. wonder if was covid related ?
he broke it in a fall so it's possible he sustained internal injuries. Once you hit near the century mark the smallest of injuries we take for granted as young people can be life threatening into old age. My uncle died at 93 after slipping on a wet floor in his back yard and he broke some ribs. The internal stress from the torn muscles to the trauma of pain did him in eventually.
shareYou can die from breaking your leg following complications such as infection, blood clots and even pneumonia apparently.
shareRIP Maestro
His beautiful score for "Once Upon A Time In America" is my all time favorite.
R.I.P. ☹️
shareAbsolute legend. I'm a huge fan of The Thing, and like a lot of people I thought Carpenter had done the music like he often does with his movies. Not that it just recycled old Carpenter themes, it just sounded so much like Carpenter. I was shocked to learn it was the same man who did The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Was there anything he couldn't do, musically?
RIP.
A hugely talented man. A long life, but RIP.
