Exactly. I think it's what they call 'double standards.' While they feel bad about lying, they're ok with ridiculing (you are bugs) and killing an entire species.

But they're not in any simulation - everything that is happening is real. William is a human being and so was his daughter, and so were all the armed employees of the park.
The park wasn't open when Arnold died, but the hosts were very much there. If you can recall so much detail, you should also recall that Ford said they experimented with the hosts for years before opening up the park.

Movies are augmented reality ... not distorted reality. Wakanda is augmented reality ... a fictitious nation in Africa (a reality). But if they show black people with bamboos in Korea, that would be distorted reality. Reality should be shown as is, while you can play with the augmented reality. I hope you get my point.
