The one positive Romulus had over this was that it got to the point fairly quickly. This movie on the other hand was quite a drag.
Her first encounter with Morris had to have been real as the demon wouldn't think to create a (plausible) hypothetical on how to kill itself.
That's right. Thanks!

This ^^. As a (home) baker, I can attest.
Either that or killed Lewis and maybe even himself to be sure. I didn't get the logic behind what he planned to do (i.e. continue to carry on the curse through someone else).
Good riddance to this pussified version of Eddie Brock.
It'll unfortunately never happen. Getting engaging movie discussions here en-masse has been near impossible since the site's inception. Even for newly released blockbusters.
I embarrassingly didn't put 2 + 2 together. You have a legitimate point lol.
I agree. All in all I just don't think Damien Leone is a good writer. I get that this is his baby and all but it may be time to get some other talent in the room to help fill in the gaps of this franchise. Since the 2nd one, the direction reminds me of what 80s slashers inevitably go through after their 4th or 5th installment where there's nowhere left to take the story. Here we're at 3 so there's no excuse.
The synergy on this board gives me faint reminders of IMDB back in the day. Definitely give it a watch! It was awesome!
The fact that, that was Lewis in the beginning completely went over my head. This part confuses me though because it didn't appear as if he actually saw Joel get run over, which is how I thought the virus gets spread. It was one of the gang members who did. Unless I missed something?
I'm taking 2 over one. I really enjoyed the improved visuals and imo the lead did a helluva job.
I was hoping they would've buttoned this up here but yeah...I think this now-franchise has too much momentum to stop at 2. I left the theater delighted but very disappointed we couldn't get any sort of get back, whether that be at the helm of Skye or with the assistance of that one victim's brother.
Just got back. You're spot on. Some of that extra footage could've been used for a Director's Cut edition but didn't turn me off from really enjoying this. Idk if you noticed but another small nitpick was the CGI (broken glass at the recovery center + end scene to name a few). But yeah...probably my favorite horror movie of 2024!
Good to know. I think I'll give it a watch. Thanks!
Yes they're probably mandated to be open but are usually ghost towns. Thinking back, it makes no sense whatsoever that the brother wasn't home for the holidays given how close he was.
We're all entitled to our own opinion. Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of these series but they're not that deep where things are going over people's heads. I pointed out the lore to date is sort of patchy but if you disagree I'm all ears.
Agreed.
I feel like the story didn't progress whatsoever from the 2nd movie. I'm still trying to figure out Art's m.o. Victoria seemed to take the main stage here but why?
