Would love to know what led you to this conclusion. I thought it was the weakest tbh. When was this explained? It totally went over my head. Negative.
It'll likely be explained in the inevitable sequel.
I'm here from the future to tell you that it sadly wasn't. Meh. Doesn't move the needle as far as the story goes but never disappoints as far as the level of gore. It would've been a little better if the writers had went in a slightly more fleshed out direction like the rivalry between Nancy and Freddy in Dream Warriors but I'm just not getting it here. Yeah. She gets her "superpowers" back lol. Exactly. Wasn't a huge fan of 2 but the 3rd has made me a little more appreciative of it if that makes any sense. It seems they lead off this ridiculous premise before every movie now. Everything under the sun has been seen in some sort of fashion when it comes to horror and gore. We live in a desensitized society sadly. The more they try to put this out there, the tackier it gets. I'm with you. There's nothing "tasteful" (for lack of a better term) about the way he goes about in killing people. It's mainly, "how can I kill these random groups of people in the goriest fashion imaginable?". It was a sight to see in the first film but it's gotten to be way overdone in these sequels. I recall this was around the time that Vito got busted. He was surely missed in this one. Agreed. Can we extend it to never? Since when did sales equate to being a watchable movie? He was great and deserved a little more screentime. Everyone else was lackluster. Thank god she was placed next to Sarah (the Latina actress) for 2/3 of the movie. It gave me something attractive to distract myself from her. What was worse though? The gapped baby teeth or the long, worn face? I agree with you 100% OP. It was borderline torture. I hope so! If it isn't possible to have a story you don't have a movie. The plot was a mess. It's okay to admit it. Facts. Years from now I highly doubt anyone will recall nor fondly remember what this movie was about other than it featured the return of Jackman's Wolverine. This doesn't come close to being similar to Zoolander. This was an action-comedy, where the comedy was the (annoyingly forced) backdrop.
