The dumbest motive to raise the antichrist (spoilers)
It will bomb
The story is intriguing, but it's heavily padded.
Movie set in 1938 speaks of "World War One."
The beginning felt like a Star Wars show
Had Olbricht initiated Valkyrie immediatelly after the flash...
These films are sexy AF!
Writers' "mutiny"
Furiosa is a Mary Sue, sorry.
Why don't they produce heavy artillery in the Wasteland?

I somehow went along with vaginas (what else could I do?) but those dreadlocks...
I used the word "neocons," because in US politics, neocons are figures who at their core espouse liberal democracy, but feel that liberal democracies have become too complacent, and too pacifist to fend off the threat from terrorists and unfriendly regimes. They, according to their critics, would go all the way to manufacture the threat if it fits their plan. This is what critics on the left believe Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld and others in George W. Bush administration have done to push through their intended invasion of Iraq.
Crits generally hate the part after departing the arena, but I for one dig it. I like it that "Lady Raven" becomes an important protagonist. I thought she'd be just a background figure the whole movie.
Improv killer. Although, Gone Girl is a more appropriate comparison.
Totally agree. But perhaps they wanted to ascertain if Max, their valuable asset, was implicated as well. Perhaps it was a game after all.
Well that's the thing, he wants to rape women, not have consensual sex with them. And to avoid legal consequences, he has their memory wiped by a fantasy substance.
It's very Epstein-slash-Weinstein... oh wait, how come both these guys have "stein" in their last names?
It fails to suspend my disbelief. You are supposed to enter the world of the movie. The movie is set in 1938. Hindenburg's there. It's an interwar period. I'm supposed to buy all that regardless of the robots. But I can't because they're lazy.
Good point on CGI. That's why Furiosa underperformed. People saw the CGI-infested trailer. That was it. It wasn't about 'no Max,' or about 'female lead.' It was about the legend that is George Miller known for his visceral, bare-bones filmmaking and in-camera action pieces replete with spectacular stunt work, resorting to CGI. Period
My 2 cents. While a person of normal proportions, he's probably not your "man's man" but a tiny, scrawny man. Probably very insecure about himself. Being assigned to a double entendre with a small person, Kenny Baker, did not help his self-esteem. He probably dreaded the idea of touring with Baker and further strengthening his association with the person whom he considered inferior and "unworthy" of his company. He perhaps had other ideas about his career. He has very few acting credits under his belt, mostly supporting roles in TV productions, that were not SW-related. He couldn't shake off the "golden rod" image. The only way to earn money probably kept him tied to it. But he drew the line when it came to touring with Kenny Baker. That he could not have been able to bear.
