Andy Griffith, as Sheriff Andy Taylor, smoked in some of the early episodes of the Andy Griffith Show.....around Opie even. :) @pop-actor. When this was made in 1996 who would you have cast in the part of Primo? If they wanted a recognizable face, who might that have been? Roberto Benigni? (a great actor but not that well known to mainstream American audiences), Robert DeNiro? (role would not have fit him I don't think). John Turturro? (he may have worked in the role). Marlon Brando? Oh wait.... :) How about...Kevin Bacon as Chip Diller in Animal House? ;) I am re-watching Finding Forrester and I too think Rob Brown's performance was very good. Some people think he was kind of "flat" and unemotional. I can see that to some degree but I kind of wonder if that isn't how a 16 year old kid from his background would be around most of the people he was exposed to in the movie....Forrester, Crawford, and even Claire. I chalk his reserved nature as somewhat of a protection mechanism. Either way, I thought he was good and really like the film. Fort Collins, Colorado I have always been under the impression that the teams were "club teams" within the same high school and not the actual high school team. Maybe I am wrong... Ok....now I am not so sure that is C's Mom in the window of the apartment. In the scenes when C is little, Lorenzo is wearing a wedding ring. He isn't at the end of the movie. Does that mean they are no longer married???? @Charlie Goose. GREAT catch on C's Mom at the end of the movie. I just watched it and you are right.....she is up in the window as C and Lorenzo walk across the street. Before I saw your post and got to the end of the movie, I was looking at Lorenzo's left hand and he did not have a wedding ring on at the end (i.e. the scene in the funeral home). But I didn't notice if he did earlier in the film or not. That John Williams guy didn't compose or direct the music for many good films did he?? ;) https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002354/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cr4 "....a man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous!" :) I am very sorry to hear about your friend's son. It is scary not knowing what you might be taking unless you absolutely know the source to be reputable (a pharmacy). I am not sure if they will ever know for sure if Prince knew what he was taking or not. They were not able to determine where he got the fake vicodin. It sounds like his addiction to pain meds had increased and increased to the point where he may have kept looking for something stronger. Sad all around for those impacted by the epidemic. I think Chase accomplished exactly what he set out to accomplish....an ending that will still be discussed, and debated, years later. Some believe Tony was whacked and point to certain "clues" from previous episodes. Some believe that nothing happened at all and have their reasons. If it was 100% definitive, how many comments would be out here on the topic?? @imadbasayev. I agree with you that it is Meadow's POV. Maybe it is her who got whacked instead of Tony?? :) @slimone. No, they have ruled it an accidental overdose of fake vicodin laced with fentanyl. Hi. How about.....Ordinary People. The overall premise is different but there is a good patient - therapist storyline. Just a thought. @R_Kane. I agree with your premise.....but I think you have Primo and Secondo mixed up. Primo (Tony Shalhoub) will return to Italy and Secondo (Stanley T.) will stay in the U.S. and do what he needs to do to obtain what he wants to obtain. I especially like your descriptor of the final scene....poignant! [This post was deleted....and agrees to never do business with Okeelanta County again] @edars99...The pretty actress at the end (and the beginning) of Cast Away is Lari White. Unfortunately she just passed away in January of 2018. She was also a country music artist. RIP Lari. I like to think that Chuck did follow her and he found out why he saved that one package that the tide brought in. You are right...Albert repeats what others say. Paulie on the other hand has at least two scenes that I recall where he busts b*lls on someone, then repeats it to Tony. One was Sil regarding his first bj. The other was to Vito and Bobby and the ad for weight loss. "before, and way before". What makes that hilarious is that in a discussion with Sil, Paulie says about Albert "f that f'ing parakeet". I was just finishing my junior year in high school in the spring of '76 so the whole movie (cars, music, hair, clothes, etc.) rings very true for me. You ask a very good question so here goes: Favorite: This is a very broad answer but I would say the overall party at the moon tower. It brought back memories of field parties. The gal falling down and her friend falling down laughing with her. A fight. A fried keg. Just the overall mix of kids attending. Laughter: I don't know why but.....early in the movie just after they get to school, Don and Pink are walking down the hall and Don fakes like he is going to punch a kid...but doesn't. He just makes him flinch. For some reason that cracks me up. Part of it is that Don reminds me of a guy I went to high school with including wearing jean overalls. Oh....and when Don talks to the teacher about that they should get together that summer....and she pats him on the head. Don cracks me up! Emotion: This too is a bit broad but I like Pink's character overall and how he treats just about everyone (except the coaches). He is obviously part of the jock group but hangs out with the "brains" (Cynthia, Mike, and Tony), the "burnouts" (Slater and group), and he takes Mitch under his wing. That makes me think that he would have been really successful later in life because he was not just the star QB but had a genuine kindness toward just about everyone....even had a moment to talk to the old couple at the baseball game. Thanks for the question! I believe it was Havana Club which is supposed to be a very good dark rum made in Cuba.
