I was just finishing my junior year in high school in the spring of '76 so the whole movie (cars, music, hair, clothes, etc.) rings very true for me. You ask a very good question so here goes: Favorite: This is a very broad answer but I would say the overall party at the moon tower. It brought back memories of field parties. The gal falling down and her friend falling down laughing with her. A fight. A fried keg. Just the overall mix of kids attending. Laughter: I don't know why but.....early in the movie just after they get to school, Don and Pink are walking down the hall and Don fakes like he is going to punch a kid...but doesn't. He just makes him flinch. For some reason that cracks me up. Part of it is that Don reminds me of a guy I went to high school with including wearing jean overalls. Oh....and when Don talks to the teacher about that they should get together that summer....and she pats him on the head. Don cracks me up! Emotion: This too is a bit broad but I like Pink's character overall and how he treats just about everyone (except the coaches). He is obviously part of the jock group but hangs out with the "brains" (Cynthia, Mike, and Tony), the "burnouts" (Slater and group), and he takes Mitch under his wing. That makes me think that he would have been really successful later in life because he was not just the star QB but had a genuine kindness toward just about everyone....even had a moment to talk to the old couple at the baseball game. Thanks for the question! I believe it was Havana Club which is supposed to be a very good dark rum made in Cuba. Hey Onemanarmy... that is something that Albert (Ally Boy) does frequently during The Sopranos. He doesn't do it all of the time but does it often. It is hilarious. It looks like the other characters have gotten used to it. Look for a clip on youtube between Albert and Richie A talking about Albert's dad Larry, and whether to take Tony out or not. He does it three times in that clip alone. Hilarious!
