You know modern feminism mantra: my body, my choice, your fault.
No need to remember it: we already know. According to RT, Black Panther has the same (critic's) approval ratio than Alien, and higher than Billy Wilder's The Apartment, and all things considered (like critic's prestige), it's the best movie in History, just above Avengers Endgame, which is the second best movie in History.
She's a woman. Think that after all the pressure to hire female directors... there's not so many good female directors out there, so they're extolling the few ones that are decent enough.
It happened the same with blacks. Jordan Peele is a skilled director, but that's it. They're trying to make him the new Hitchcock. Greta Gerwig is just a new Jordan Peele.
That's a dangerous game, since they force them to be up to the praise they received, and that could end with them being broken toys. Peele has already failed with the Twilight Zone reboot, and since then media has gone silent about him. We'll see.
That's his natural voice range. He's a countertenor. He's actually one of the best countertenor in the world (there's just a few of them, though).

• <i>The Nazis were very evil </i>
And they had time travel machines, so they could travel back in time to WW1.
By the way, everybody had war crimes, the British too. Though usually the ones that win the war, they write history. In WW2, for example, everybody remembers the Holocaust, almost nobody knows about the hundreds of thousands of war prisoners murdered by the allies (and I'm talking about normal German soldiers, massacred by thousands after the war, both in Eastern and Western front).
<blockquote>However, while adjusting for inflation helps with the comparison, it doesn't take into account the rapid growth in the U.S. and world population. Now there are more people that go to movies than 30-40 years ago and that affects box office totals.</blockquote>
And still, box office hasn't growth for almost a decade. No matter the inflation, and no matter the there's more audience than ten years ago.
I need some subtlety. Take Willow, for example. The characters are D&D stock cliches too, MacMartigan is the classic chaotic good fighter... but still, they don't need to make it clear in every line. They let the characters breathe.

I don't care about budget (love low-budget horror flicks), and actually. production-wise, it seemed very nicely done. But bad character writing kill it for me.
Thanks, anyway! 😃
The original Ali speech looked the same. Smith is just replicating how Ali talked.

You always have Aqua, the most beautiful goddess of all, that uses to go Turn Undead spree once in a while w 😄

I started to watch the first one, and the characters looked ridiculous. They were completely flat archetypes, like "<i>Oh, look, I'm bad, look how bad I am! I even talk like very evil</i>". And the main female character "<i>I am lively and courageous, don't you see it? look how lively and courageous I am!</i>".
Does it get any better?
It looks lovely :-) (seriously)
Whatever. But it all comes to a very simple idea: it's very unlikely that you're worse than the portray made by people that have a quarrel with you. Because if you were, they wouldn't miss the chance to portray you that way.
You have problems with that idea? Fine, that's up to you.
I've read other articles about Scientology.
But indeed, you are right, one quick read of wikipedia is enough. You don't need to read piles of data if you know <i>how to read</i>.
This example: I know that wikipedia has a woke bias in controversial topics. And I know that wokes have a quarrel with other religions that they consider "privileged" (that's why they don't go after Islam, for example), Scientology included. That means that that portray gives <i>a very accurate representation of the worst case scenario</i>. I know that the real case won't be worse. The same I know communism wasn't worse than the depiction made by US right, or XVIIth Catholicism wasn't worse than the depiction made by XVIIth protestants.
Not a good idea. He's very skilled, an extremely smart director. But he has become a woke fanatic lately. And the last thing Star Wars needs right now is another load of woke preaching.
<blockquote>It's much, much worse than that. </blockquote>
I don't think so. As a general rule, no religion, ideology, regime or whatever similar is gonna be worse than the portray made by the people who attack it, like the documentary linked before. And that rule serves with Christians, Muslims, Communists, Buddhists, Wokes, and why not, Scientologists.
Why not? Human groups develop a range of similar dynamics. You can find similar group behaviors in colleges, schools, military, gangs, and of course, religions. It's not like bullying is very specific of just one of those, for example.

I just checked it in the wiki and in general it doesn't worse that the hazing in my old college dorm.
