Seeing as how Rambo was already a murdering SOB prior to the events of the novel, Zero Blood would not make any sense. :)
If a film was actually based upon the book and the Rambo character had a different name, most people would not recognize it as having anything to do with the Stallone films.
I'd like to see a version that stays much closer to the book.
I can only interpret what you type in this forum, not what you are actually thinking. If you can't put your actual thoughts into words, then we are not going to communicate well at all.
I meant to say that a TV series based upon a book with very little in the way of physical descriptions other than gender is being raked over the coals for not having enough white actors in it.
Why were the characters in the book or the TV series not supposed to be black? I think you are making things up. Where are you getting your information from on the racial characteristics of the cast of characters in the Foundation Universe?
Perfect people are rarely interesting.
I was wondering how long it would take you to start backpedaling from "every black person" to "vast majority" or something else. I think you're clueless and confining yourself to a simple little piece of rhetoric that is in your comfort zone.
I think you need to get out of the basement you're hiding in and actually meet more people. It should do wonders for your outlook on life.
Here you go again, saying that all blacks people are "something". I'm not training my family to be that way, neither is anyone else in my family. Are you training black people to believe that they were enslaved and need to be paid for it?
Pandering to anyone is what most politicians do.
A demand is not the same as actually being held responsible. Saying every black person is trained to believe they were once enslaved is a very stupid thing to claim. For example, the black members of my family are not being trained to believe that crap.
By claiming that every black person thinks they were enslaved, you are insulting them just for having black skin. Speaking in absolutes is rarely ever the smart thing to do.
So how is this woke (aware?)? A book with very little in the way of physical descriptions other than gender is being raked over the coals (in other threads) for not having enough white actors in it. Have the complainers even watched the show?
Thanks. You seem offended that someone would enjoy the show. Or am I reading too much into your reply?
What the hell is 21st century wokeness?
I'm able to follow it just fine; rather enjoyable to watch.
I don't see what your problem is.
I think this series was made for everyone else but you. You can still try to enjoy it though.
How can it be original if it's based upon a book? I think the writing and acting is good.
No one today in the USA is being held responsible for slavery. Unless you equate rhetoric to responsibility.
But for $15 could you watch them perform in a quality film or TV show? Probably not.
Lou Llobel is rather attractive. Plot, script and acting hook me more than looks. I guess I'm just not that shallow to require looks over substance.
Which race was each character in the book? I don't recall any one book character being assigned any specific race at all.
If females actors exist just for you to drool over, then why should they exist at all? :)
Read Mark Owen's (Matt Bissonnette) book, No Easy Day. The SEALS were well briefed on who might be in the house. Khalid was in fact lured around a corner of the staircase when they said his name.
Owen also went on to say that Osama bin Laden was a pussy who did not even lift a finger to defend himself while his courier shot at the SEAL's and his son might have with the loaded rifle in his hands.
