Did you see Harris in Chernobyl?
@ Yes I did .. Harris and Stellan Skarsgård were amazing.
I was interested in the topic too.
I remember when it happened ..I was in my late teens and authorities on the radio advised us about the toxic cloud that was heading towards Europe
..it passed over North Italy and we were told not to consume garden vegetables and to stay indoors.
I shuddered seeing what really was happening in those first days when Russian authorities were initially trying to keep everything under wraps and then minimising the incident..
This is how the radio active cloud moved.

He's in his late sixties, and you expect him not to have "crow's feet"? That's ridiculous, especially since the character he's playing is a rancher who's been out in the sun and wind his whole life.
@. First off , he is only 66 years old.
Secondly , I’m not talking about him as Dutton but as Kevin Costner.
Thirdly, of course he’s going to have crows feet.
That said, if you had taken the time to check you would get my point.
His crows feet look like the map of China and are deep like crevices.
He has the skin of a person in his late 70s and it’s dry like the Sahara Desert.
It’s obvious Costner doesn’t take care of his skin and has no clue
why moisturisers exist.

I love that they're all fucked up.
@. I love drama, turmoil too. 😋
From Dusk’s point of view, Dawn definitely was fucked up and had to be destroyed.
When Day said “it’s time the Empire bent a bit” and decided he wanted to save Dawn, Dusk not only went ballistic , he actually shouted he would have preferred to replace Day with a new one rather than accept such a choice.
To put an end to the fight , Demerzel killed Dawn. Dusk forced her hand.
Knowing that also Day’s genetic pool has been tampered with , I can see Dusk wanting to eliminate also Day now.
Most probably, Dusk is the only one that is a true copy of the original.
I think having been altered is actually the best thing that happened to the Cleon dynasty.
Day definitely changed after he did the Spirale .. he experienced an act of compassion and after showed compassion towards the old guy that had helped and encouraged him earlier.
He also wanted to save Dawn .
So at least for Day it was a positive thing to have had his genetic pool altered.
Dawn unfortunately lived it as a curse . He passed his whole child / teen hood observing his two brothers in the hope to hide his faults.
And yet , he was the only one that fell in love which I feel was a positive thing.
Dusk’s intransigence will be the Empire’s ruin.
Put aside religion and maths , Halima and Seldon were right .. the Cleons for 400 years have come from the same genetic pool .. they are just copies unable to evolve / adjust.
We know that the Empire is doomed but compromised Day might be able to slow down the inevitable and eventually make the end/fall less bitter, less bloody.. etc.
We saw that the narrative made a 138 year leap in the future …does that mean we won’t get to see what happened between Day and Dusk. ?
that’s the part I was dying to see /play out.

Kind of a weird complaint..😂😂
@. It’s not a complaint , I’m just pointing out a fact.
He’s an actor he should take care of his face/skin.
And I’m not suggesting Botox or a nip and tuck solution .. but heck, he could put some cream on.
PS: sorry, my reply was repeated twice more so I edited them. 🙃

Maybe it is intentionally done to make him appear as the rugged out doorsman type.
@ Like I said , I’m watching the series on my PC so I got my nose practically on the screen.
You do have a point .. it makes him look rugged which suits his character in THIS SERIES.
Nonetheless, when there is a close-up shot , his deep pronounced wrinkles are distracting.
Maybe cause I’m female and seeing skin so deteriorated, and begging for some moisturiser, “hurts”.
He is clearly not wearing any make up at all and he doesn’t take care of his skin.
It’s a shame … he is only 66 and yet he has skin of a guy in his late 70s.
@ to Alex.
Actually I just focus on him.
I first saw Jared Harris in “The Terror” he was terrific.
Soon after I enjoyed him in the mini serie “To the Ends of the Earth “2005 . He played a captain there too.
And then I got my hands on
“ B.Monkey” 1998 from amazon.uk.
Jared is a very versatile actor.
@ to asom
It’s the only part of the series that I find engaging.. the other storylines are just fillers for me.

Q. The Empire's over the top revenge on Azur.
@.They plotted to destroy the Empire , the Cleon Dynasty, Brother Day’s family. They caused Brother Dawn’s defects.
Brother Day just gave her a taste of her own medicine.
Sadly, despite their plan was stopped by Brother Dusk, they did succeed in undermining the equilibrium between two brothers ..had Demerzel not killed Brother Dawn the Empire would have been seriously compromised.
Q. Emo Demerol ripping her face off, the Empire Klingons are literally tearing her apart.
Personally, I think Demerzel would not have killed Brother Dawn had Brother Dusk accepted Brother Day’s decision.
Deep down she believed the Cleon dynasty lacks fresh blood like Halima said and when Brother Day unexpectedly wanted to let Brother Dawn live, I’m convinced she would have accepted his decision…seen it as a first step toward a fresh start , a new era (one of hope ) for the dynasty.
Brother Dusk’s outrage and attack on Brother day forced her hand and she removed the cause of their violent spat.. but she loved Brother Dawn as did Brother Day.
Q. Salva Hardon leaving Hugo Craster forever.
@ I’m pissed off too about the 138 year leap into the future.
I wanted to see the aftermath between the two Cleons.
Hugo is the Captain of the Invictus ..it’s possible that they make a jump in the future a 138 year jump .. we might still see him.

I feel SO SORRY for her
@ I wouldn’t waste empathy on that self centred bit$h, she’s an attention seeker. ..
.. the two left the royal family cause they didn’t want to be always in public performing royal family duties yet they are still all over the place cashing in on public events , talks etc they attend to. Their faces are plastered everywhere.
So much for wanting a more secluded life away from the spotlights. 🙄
As for Harry fretting off late over the Queen’s health .. that’s a laugh too .. how does he think his Grandmother felt seeing them trash the Family in that interview with Oprah Winfrey?
@ to TandyMan.
The Cleons are for me the best part of this series too.
Should Lee Pace ( who I believe does a brilliant job as Brother Day) not return for season2 , I will stop watching.
Salvor reminds me too much of Michael Burnham from ST:Discovery.
The writers gave her even a male name .. and her face features are similar too.
She always saves the day .. so annoying.
Part2
By Rorikon:
Eh, he didn't change else he wouldn't have offed that black chick (already forgot her name). He didn't even see a vision so there was no enlightenment at the end of the road.
@. It’s all about the journey.. Brother Day didn’t have a vision at the end but he did do The Great Spiral. The walk itself took a toll on body and soul.
He put his life at stake , it was the first time he was vulnerable, experience pain , was injuries just like a normal person.
He received a gesture of compassion when the older guy he bonded with helped him up and encouraged him to continue after he fell due to exhaustion.
He was moved by this act of kindness. Brother Day experience the hardship of being truly human.
In the last scene as he is being prepared for the jump , Brother Day‘s thoughts went back to when he arrived at the pond .. not having had a vision disturbs him as did Dermercel ‘s words:
That she ‘s pleased he too had the same vision because to “see nothing” would be an emptiness she wouldn’t wish on anyone.
I really feel Brother Day will be clement with Brother Dawn.
By Rorikon:
They mentioned they've been waiting for decades... Are you suggesting Demercel has been going against her programming for quite some time? Maybe when she started believing in religion?
@.I think Brother Dawn is 17-18 so nearly two decades.
Maybe she believed there was some truth in Hari Seldons predictions . He too thought that the Cleon Dynasty was stagnant and lacked new lifeblood.
I also don’t think she approved when those two planets were destroyed after the Star Bridge had been bombed.
She was not plotting to destroy but rather to save the Dynasty.. Brother Dawn is the first Cleon to fall in love .. I wonder if he can procreate.
I just thought it was strange she ignored Brother Dusk’s worries when the baby cried.
I also find it strange she never notice he was flawed. When did Brother Dawn realise that he had to hide his flaws or he would be replaced.
Continues…
By Rorikon:
Thank you Brother Dusk
For saving the day that is. Hope Brother Day kills that simp ass Dawn. He simped so hard for her and got used like the soyboy he was. Cried like a bitch too. It's good to know they can track and keep tabs on defective clones.
@.I was re watching episode 3 yesterday and when Brother Dusk is walking towards the disintegrator the newborn Dawn ( the one that falls in love) starts to cry.
This alarms Brother Dusk who stops and turns around twice and says: there is something wrong referring to the baby crying.
Demercel ignores his words and tells him not not worry and gets him to move on with the death ceremony.
I have a hunch she is behind the plan of Auzura and Co.
She stole the genetic material for the rebels and caused Brother Dawn ‘s defects.
Personally I feel sorry for Brother Dawn , the victim here, and hope after the life changing experience of The Spiral, Brother Day will not kill Brother Dawn.
Believe what you want. 🙄

I’m not trolling
it ‘s just my opinion on Greta
you of course are free to disagree.
By Brux:
It's sad you cannot give credit where credit is due because your mind to sealed shut.
@. I did give credit where credit is due.
I said she read well.
It’s a shame you can’t see Greta was not capable of putting two sentences together ..
.. all the journalist asked her to do was summarise and repeat the crucial points of her speech.
Instead she didn’t have a clue what to say.
Nada 😳
By Brux:
This young lady is a really great speaker
@ She reads well but without a script she makes a poor show. She can’t even put two sentences together.
