The reason I ask is because some time awhile back, they had a test screening on this that didn't go over well at all and as a result, they scrapped it and started over to include the RED HULK?? I really wish William Hurt hadn't of passed away because he really is General Ross while Harrison Ford looks like the folks at Disney/MARVEL panicked when he died and went through the rolodex looking for actors in their 70's to replace him and that's when they saw Ford and figured he wasn't doing anything so let's call him up. The man probably doesn't even know who the RED HULK is much less The HULK himself

Is Sam Elliot passed on and if not, why didn't they pick him as General Ross?? That would've been damn near perfect??

Because he was part of a different universe and studio.

Same reason they didn’t use Eric Bana as Banner in 2008.

I saw the preview for this in theaters a few weeks ago and thought it looked terrible, even before hearing about the negative test screenings and reshoots to try to salvage it.

Also, Anthony Mackie just isn’t believable to me as an action star. I’m not sure why, but I don’t buy him in these kinds of roles, or any action movies, really. I can picture him as a lawyer, doctor, or something similar, but definitely not as a superhero.

I still think Captain America: The First Avenger is the best Marvel movie, so I’m probably not the target audience for this. Regardless, I’m over Marvel movies and will likely skip this one, even when it hits streaming.

As a huge Captain America fan, I don't like any other version than Steve Rogers. And while I like Mackie, I don't think he can carry a movie. To top it off, I thought Falcon and Winter Solider was terrible.

If it gets some great word of mouth I might catch it in a theater, but at this point I'll wait for it to go on streaming.

Frankly, this movie has been in development hell for years, and there isn't much they have done to improve on the script at all. Plus, nobody's gonna accept a black Captain America, sorry. Even Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk is not gonna save this dumpster fire of a film.
