Couldn't finish it.
Late Friday night I was in the mood for a generic action flick, so I tossed it on. Instead I got a lot of bad acting, terrible dialogue, and no action. You'd think with Grillo as the lead going to save his niece in the jungles of Venezuela you'd see a lot of bloodshed. WRONG.
What you get is way too much exposition for such a simple setup, superfluous dialogue that feels like it is there to stretch out scenes, terrible terrible terrible pacing, and zero mayhem. When there finally is a gunfight it is over in a minute, then back to another twenty minutes of walking and talking between guys who aren't exactly known for emoting.
At the 1:20 mark I paused and saw there was another 40 minutes left and tried something else.
I can't decide what I hate more - that I only had forty minutes left and felt compelled to walk away or the fact that I wasted ninety minutes of my life on this crap.
