So you can tell that he was using an idiom (not a metaphor), but not that I was using the same one in return? And of course you had to toss in an insult while displaying your inability to comprehend my response.
I've never heard Trump say those things. I've heard the media claim he has, but whenever I go to the original source-- his actual words-- it's very different.
I'm in favor of having strong borders to keep illegals out of the country, and to deport those who are already here. Does that mean I'm yelling and finger-pointing, or blaming all our problems on them? I don't think so. I have long believed that a nation is stronger and safer if it has laws about who can immigrate, and when, and how, and can vet those immigrants before bringing them in. I think that protects both the citizens and the immigrants, and leads to a better end result.
That's pretty much the same thing I've heard Trump say in recent years. I've never heard him say that all of America's ills are the fault of immigrants, nor have I heard him say armies of rapists murders and convicts are flooding across the border. Did he say that and I missed it?
Enlighten me. Please link to a video of Trump pointing a finger and shouting that the people coming across the southern border are to blame for the problems the country faces.
No, never. Neither did you. You heard the media tell you that they heard it.
If you can step outside your partisan box for a moment and look at the real world you'll see that the media has created a completely false narrative on behalf of the government, both right and left. Those in power want to remain in power, and Trump threatens that. They have weaponized both the media and the justice system against him, and convinced you, and millions of others, that what they are telling you is the truth.
That depends on how many illegals vote for Biden. They've registered millions already. Look at ssa.gov for the numbers. That's the U.S. government's Social Security website, not some random "news" outlet. There's no bias there, just raw numbers for the number of people registering to vote each week. Notice the massive uptick in new registrations in certain states, most notably Texas, where they went from about 20,000 to 40,000 per week to over 200,000 every week. Pennsylvania and Arizona have also seen massive increases in the number of new voters registering. Maybe there are millions of people suddenly registering, or maybe the millions who were let into the country illegally, all of whom were given a drivers license and a voter registration form upon entry, are being registered and told to vote Biden.
They stole the election by stuffing the ballot box last time. You don't think they have another plan in place this time?
The victims of US gun culture? What do you mean by that? Who are these victims and what is this culture?
How the shooter is perceived is of little consequence, as most everyone save for those on the far fringes understands that he was a seriously deranged individual. The political leanings of a crazed would-be killer are meaningless, and most everyone understands this.
Lastly, what are these simplistic, finger-pointing arguments and accusations that you claim Trump has made? I've heard him, and every other politician, make succinct statements summing up a belief on a given topic, but that's normal. We all do that. It sounds like you think he's guilty of some unique technique. Elaborate on this.
For America's sake, it's good that his plan failed. And per your deleted post, and your reply to me there, I admire your willingness to change your mind based on new data. Too few can do that anymore.
The sad part is, you actually believe this.
I think you are unable to accept reality anytime it deviates from what you want it to be.
So your theory is that Trump paid an assassin to climb atop a building, and bribed the Secret Service to leave that building empty. He told the guy to shoot and kill some of his supporters, and then he timed it so when the shooting start he slapped some fake blood on his ear and pretended to be shot? All in full view of thousands of people, and hundreds of cameras, with the hope that no one captured an angle of him slapping the fake blood onto his ear?
One spectator was killed and another two were injured, plus Trump was shot in the ear.
Trump never sent rioters to the Capitol. He told people not to go. On top of that, they weren't rioters. They were protestors. The doors were opened for them, they walked through the building, and when curfew came they all walked away. That isn't a riot by any stretch.
You have it backwards. The cape, boots, and the rest are Superman's regular attire. It's the Clark Kent getup that is the costume. Superman decided to create a mild-mannered, meek persona for his alter ego to throw suspicion away from who he is behind the glasses.
I saw this at a local theater a few months ago. It was a great experience seeing it on a big screen with an audience, and should still be a fun home watch.
That part doesn't bother me. Captain America is a symbol, so it makes sense for someone to inherit the title. I'm concerned by the fact that Sam is just a regular dude. He can't take out an elevator full of enemies or win a fight against a fighter jet. Plus, the Disney+ show was so bad that I fear for the quality of the film.
That show had a few moments, but overall I found it very unenjoyable. I hope this film is a lot better than that. Steve Rogers is a tough act to follow. Not to mention Sam is a normal, i.e. non-super-powered, guy, so not only does he lack Steve's gravitas, he doesn't have the physical strength to carry him.
The recent Supreme Court decision preserves democracy, or rather the federal democratic republic form of government that our Constitution guarantees. It in no way elevates the president above the law.
Yes, if you trace back you'll see it was his post I replied to. He seems to think consensus means "his own opinion."
The consensus? It's you saying it and nearly everyone else saying otherwise.
If you honestly believe the CGI in Minus One is better than the 2014 Godzilla film then I don't know what to tell you. The 2014 film looked like actual footage of giant beast, Minus One looks like a guy in a suit with some CGI enhancement.
I had the same thought. Those who weren't vaccinated are doing a lot better than those who were.
