Wasn’t it a great book? The movie, notsomuch
How do you know this? I loved A Tale of Two Sisters, but this is WAY more like The Other. Not The OtherS.
My first thought. So disappointing.
9. Women who are in their sixties avoid sex by claiming they have their period.
10. High heels and a cane, so easy, and hot! Who knew?
11. The lyrics to Lust for Life, when played in a bar, will rearrange themselves. Or something.
12. Whack someone in the head and you can see some brain.
13. Anja get to keep your BFF and walk into the sunset (or whatever the budget suggests).
That’s funny. I am 57 and have really long hair. My mother absolutely hates it. Mine has nothing to do with age, though—it’s long because when it’s short I can barely comb it.
Hey Nikon, I am still waiting at the Marriott, where we were supposed to hook up after the Roger Dodger love fest we had around ten years ago. You’re awfully late.
Dude I am a straight woman. But that ass. Oh mah gawd.
Let’s write a screenplay!
Lol...just saw your post, haha!
Someone asked about this movie on a FB movie board and all I could really remember is that girl’s absolutely beautiful backside. Then I remembered the rest and came back to this thread.
He didn’t. Shitty film-making. He was gut-shot and in serious pain. He pretty much either sat or laid down for the rest of the siege.
I watched it again last night. What makes you think this movie is “glorifying” this life style? It sure didn’t strike me as anything glamorous. I’m not going to quit my job and go live in a sleazy motel. I thought it showed a horrible way of life, esp for the poor little kids.
Not picking a fight. Just sayin’. Looks like a horrible shit life.
I sooooo want this to happen.
I thought he was removing a bullet.
I think her eyes make her look like a bug. They are almost on the sides of her head! lol
She's one to watch, though. She's excellent in everything I've seen her in.
Yeah but....that ass.
My daughter (a film student) went on and on about this.
Definitely see it. Kristen Stewart, too.
Why, I have written everything. Don't you already know that?
You know, you are on to something here. There are always a couple scenes in his movies that make me think, "Why was that even necessary, and why use the f-bomb twenty six times in a twenty five word sentence?" You know? "Tutti f-ing Fruiti!" It was funny, but....I call these "jack off scenes" (but not for the reason one would probably thinks of when hearing "jack off"). Being a writer myself, I sometime catch myself being overly clever and cute, have to stop myself. Zombie should do this. So should Tarentino, now that I think about it.
I see. I agree, despicable characters. Still, I looked at it more along the lines of homage, which Zombie has been very open and vocal about. DR has the best use of a soundtrack, I think, that I have ever seen. Particularly the end, with Freebird. That's one of those songs that if I ever hear it again, it will be too soon, but his use of it in the end of DR was brilliant. He took that long, boring song and made it awesome again. (Though I still turn it off when it comes on the radio, lol)
