Its a "so bad it's good" movie for sure. You could have this playing in the background while drinking and bullshitting, but ince in a while everyone would stop drinking and be like, "what the fuck?". Some of the dialog is absolutely nuts,lol.

Except that isn't a plot? As soon as you move past the basic element of a location and the idea that there is a pursuit, and there are hundreds of pursuit movies, it wouldn't work as a star trek movie.

Your missing a lot of nuance. Maybe this show is too much for you. And suggesting working in a comfortable environment is worse than suicide is a tad silly. It's certainly not what would normally be considered "slave conditions". Obviously they'd choose to exist in that situation. And the black woman story doesn't need to completely unfold in a single episode to be satisfactory. Some shows just aren't for some people, but your complaints are invalid, and most of your complaints are vague and nonspecific anyway.
His outie will still play a role. The paintings seem to indicate more from him.
I can't imagine how someone would feel that scene bogged the movie down. It showed Bills true nature.
