I like her in this. She’s been great, but I’m sure Jennifer Lawrence would have done it justice.

That’s not what he said,
“Your prayers aren’t always answered, in the order they’re received”
It means be careful what you wish for.

All they were doing was selling land. It’s worth was subjective depending on how quickly the investor was looking for a profitable return.
All land eventually appreciates in value, but it can take decades.
People buy land today expecting a fast profit and end up selling at a loss or breaking even.
So those “tactics” are still applied. People believe that they can make a tonne of money from selling and buying land. That’s what the tactic taps into. The desire to make a killing. Nothings really changed. The same applies to the property market.
How do you think bitcoin works? It’s the modern day version of this. How can people be that stupid right? Oh wait. Same shit different decade.
As for job titles? People embellish their job titles on LinkedIn everywhere. It’s rife and easy to do. The amount of Recruitment Consultants going by the title of “Associate Director” is off the charts. It’s common place. It’s easier now to create an embellished profile for credibility than it was pre Internet. That’s how the so called “internet influencers” make a living. Most of them haven’t achieved squat, and yet they have people paying them for business advice.
It’s the same thing.

Forest Whitaker would rock this role.
Raincoat, the works. He’s the man for this job.

You are wrong. Army Delta is open to members of the US military who have served for a minimum of three years and have at least three years left on their contract.
You don’t have to be “Army Special Forces” to attempt Delta selection, because Delta is Army special forces.
DEVGRU isn’t “a step above SEAL” because it is part of the SEAL Teams. That unit is a specialist counterterrorism unit comprised of the best members of the standard SEAL teams. The selection process or “Green Team” is loosely based on the British SAS selection process as is the Army Delta selection process, which mirrors SAS selection.
None of these Tier One operations (which is what they are) are a “step above” one or the other. They all offer different capabilities hence their existence in tandem. This isn’t football. They aren’t in existence to compete with each other🤦♂️
Those are the facts, regardless of what you’ve referenced from your PlayStation war games or from your favourite Steven Segel movies and novels😉
By the way, “Dubyasrobotminion” just reads books. That’s all. That where he gets his knowledge. You don’t have to Fanboy him to death with constant references.
Hope this helps chief👍

‘In the original, all we knew is that Georgie was obviously killed by Pennywise. The mystery behind Georgie's death is what made the movie in a way”
Erm, no. In the original there is a scene where one of the Losers Club kids describes Georgie as having his arm torn off like the wing from a fly. We already knew what happened to him. They made that scene in the remake from a description given in the original.
Try watching the movie again. And wise up. Maybe the subtle undertones to a Stephen King plot aren’t for you?
TheCaretaker
So, you thought this up yourself?
Or,
Did you read the script recently released for the sequel in which it confirms that Pennywise controlled Derry whilst in hibernation? This is depicted in a scene in the sequel, which is taken from the book, which was left out of the original two part series, where a bunch of kids savagely beat up a gay kid, and then Pennywise kills him indirectly. This is while he’s in hibernation (the scripts term, not mine😉)
Oh you cheeky boy, you’ve read the script for the second movie haven’t you?😁
Naughty naughty.
No but joking aside, there is an article on Looper with the links. And some good shots of the actors and scenes from the second instalment. But it’s always been the case that Pennywise controlled Derry. That suggestion was made in the second part of the original offering. “There’s something very wrong with Derry”

But the second you time travel back to a point, you create an alternate timeline just by being there, a parallel. The original timeline still exists.
So there would be 1 million alternate timelines with people watching Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock. Maybe in the original timeline there was only 2 people watching Hendrix at Woodstock. Maybe Jimi Hendrix is the result of an altered timeline. Maybe Woodstock was created in a parallel.
Maybe WW2 was the result of a changed timeline. Maybe Hitler was the result of a changed timeline.
Skynet was invented one way in a timeline. The Terminator returning in 1984 and leaving behind the technology created another timeline where Skynet was invented in another way. This could play in infinite multiples. Or ripples in time as they are also referred to.
As soon as time travel is/was invented you are instantly going to have alternate time across millions of parallels. So we would never potentially know of it’s existence.
Maybe space and time and it’s creation is the result of time travel. Maybe the Big Bang was going back.
You have to open the mind up to the possibility that nothing we have seen is orginal. That everything is the result of time change.
We are programmed to view time in the past present or future. But time could also move laterally. In parallel.

See my update on the paradox / parallel universe theory above. Sorry, I added it as you replied. But it raises the question regarding cosmic reader theory.
TheCaretaker.
Which flow though?
The 1984 flow or the 1992 flow? Or the flow that both timelines have now been removed?
I thought, probably incorrectly, that the first two timelines had been rubbed out? But, the OP makes the point that this doesn’t stack.
But then the theory also goes that the original timeline will always exist and that any changes made to it will cause the paradox/alternate timeline, which will then run in tandem.
People make the point that time travel could never be invented because once it’s been invented then it will always have existed. But, how do we know if our universe is a paradox or not? How do we know or not if 9/11 was a result of a changed timeline?

It’s plastic with metallic paint.
Like those Casio watches.
Skynet is really Casio.

KenBurke, That’s part of the charm of this movie Snowflake.
It’s not Transformers.
TheCaretaker
It’s something to do with alternate timelines I do believe.
Once that happened in 1984 it changed the future so he wouldn’t have known about 1992.
TheCaretaker
It wasn’t a miniseries it was a two part TV movie.

I have to give you credit for that response.
Fairly original and amusing. And you put in some effort.
Fair one👍

If you consider my response an insult then you need to get a life. You have posted content on both of the boards I mentioned. That’s a fact.
If that is a source of embarrassment to you then it’s your problem.
I seem to recall your original message to me was somewhat juvenile. It’s written above. What was the point in it? None. Other than to get a reaction.
It seems that you like to dish it out but don’t like it when it’s given back to you.
I didn’t state that “IT” was set in Castle Rock. I stated that Castle Rock along with Stand By Me, was also the setting of The Dead Zone, Cujo and Needfull Things, to mention a few. The point being that they are all Stephen King adaptations and they all share the same universe and are all set in the same towns. Every adaptation of Stephen King is set in or has a character from either Castle Rock or Derry on Main.
Managing to take this all in? Thought not.
Try actually reading the responses and partaking in the adebate instead of throwing your toys on the floor and acting like a wang. Or just stick to the Kardashian’s board.
