Who killed the kid?

I have seen this movie since 1986...But who killed him?

reply

The train. El smacko.

reply

No wasn't murdered?

reply

Nope. At least not that we know.

reply

The train was far away from his body was.

Considering that this was movie was taken from a Stephen King novel, and that the Stephen King universe is linked, then we should give thought to the possibility that IT aka Pennywise, was the culprit. Remember here that Gordies brother had died, and we don’t know how. Think about it.

reply

Gord's brother died in a car accident.

reply

And you know for a fact that in Stephen Kings mind, Pennywise didn’t cause the accident?

Given that “IT” could kill humans and appeared on the Roadside in the original IT movie trying to distract a motorist with his “lights”

You need to do some Stephen King research. References to “IT” appear in Storm of the Century, Tommyknockers and Insomnia to mention a few. In fact, there are direct and indirect references in all of his work. And, even The Shining had potential links.

Dude, Castle Rock is also the setting of The Dead Zone, Cujo, Needful Things. All Stephen King adaptations. Everything he did is linked. And you just think Stand By Me isn’t?

Reading too much in to the book / movie, are we.

reply

Not with all of the evidence provided in my previous post. No.

This isn’t transforming robots or knuckle dragging Game of Thrones country. Stephen Kings works are layered. But, I guess “reading too much “into” a movie script” is subjective. Those with a lower IQ might see it that way. Some people can’t see beyond what’s on screen at that particular moment.

Giving those types multiple or single Stephen King scripts to thought process and debate is like feeding grapes and fine cheese to a pig.

Well, do feel free to continue discussing Piranha 3D and the Kardashian’s on the other movie feeds then. Nothing for you here.

Your insight is, befitting.

If you consider my response an insult then you need to get a life. You have posted content on both of the boards I mentioned. That’s a fact.

If that is a source of embarrassment to you then it’s your problem.

I seem to recall your original message to me was somewhat juvenile. It’s written above. What was the point in it? None. Other than to get a reaction.

It seems that you like to dish it out but don’t like it when it’s given back to you.

I didn’t state that “IT” was set in Castle Rock. I stated that Castle Rock along with Stand By Me, was also the setting of The Dead Zone, Cujo and Needfull Things, to mention a few. The point being that they are all Stephen King adaptations and they all share the same universe and are all set in the same towns. Every adaptation of Stephen King is set in or has a character from either Castle Rock or Derry on Main.

Managing to take this all in? Thought not.

Try actually reading the responses and partaking in the adebate instead of throwing your toys on the floor and acting like a wang. Or just stick to the Kardashian’s board.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, dudes. Somebody doesn't seem to appreciate this 'how to' guide. I think they're afraid that, armed with this advice, somebody might come along and steal their crown as the most witty troll on IMDB.

I must stay strong. The Stephen King board is depending on me.

I have to give you credit for that response.

Fairly original and amusing. And you put in some effort.

I think that anything is possible. but I don't think that Pennywise caused Ray Brower to die. I don't know how far apart Castle Rock and Derry are, and I'm sure that it is possible for Pennywise to travel, but Pennywise did feed in Derry. Although the timing is close the Losers did best Pennywise in '58 and this story takes place in '59/'60. I really just think that the train hit him and that's that. It really cheapens the story for me to think that there was anything supernatural involved with something so little and but not any other part of the movie.
