Woo, yeah that was a doozy
I'll add another, I never thought Sharon Stone was very good until I saw Casino, now I love her
Have you seen Dredd? I love it. It's obviously in the minority, as I said, but at least I know it's possible
That's why I'll watch the Andy Garcia Denver one, it's hard to find a kindred movie spirit, and things I haven't seen that may be good get fewer all the time
I love Ed Wood! He is so great in that movie, although I don't think recall having any negative opinions about him before that
Straight up but not straight to be clear
Just your willingness to throw in was helpful. I am definitely not a troll (although a troll would say that.) I'm pretty straight up and at least someone wanted to talk to me about something real that night
Yeah well, occasionally a remake or boot can be good or even great. If I have to endure 10 Ghost in the Shells to get one Dredd I'll do it for the good of the world. Doesn't erase the originals
Fair, not your guy, I would still check out Magnolia, it's an ensemble and he doesn't hog the screen really. Totally worth it especially for Philip Seymour Hoffman and William H Macy alone
You're still like the only person to respond to my personal advice post, you were very helpful
That movie is great, makes me sad when I see her as Scarlet Witch in Marvel movies because she's wasted and so is the character
I'd say give things a shot especially when you don't like people's personal lives because it often illustrates how little connection there is between creative ability and personal shiz
I love Top Gun, but again I'm gay and that probably has a lot to do with it
He has some pretty excellent performances, though they're broken up by many years and his weird personal life, he's very good in A Few Good Men, and maybe not a masterpiece, but him as Lestat is super entertaining
I like them both, but I never hated Cruise, just his bullshit "beliefs"
I would see it and then decide, I'm definitely not the only person to say that
Yeah at the time he was saying it was the movie he'd been waiting to make his entire career, then it was that
Haven't seen shape of water yet, but the other two you mentioned I actually quite liked. Inception was 10 times better than Dark Knight Rises, but not a 10th the movie that The Prestige or Memento were
BVS is more toilet paper than a movie. I've watched Watchmen like 5 times and it never got good for me. The worst atrocity (besides BVS) was Sucker Punch, that was painful and did not get a second chance
It's easily Cruise's best performance
