That's nothing new, even in the late 80s she was crazy.
I'm glad a lot of people are enjoying it, but I personally was let down. Not by the soundtrack though, JC and his kid are doing great stuff (3 albums besides this soundtrack in recent years).
There are a decent number of Halloween sequels that I'd pop on before this one.
Oh I totally agree. I thought that was the reason they made this, to continue the vibe of the original. Nope.
It was okay, I'll watch it again, but what a let down.
True, as a HUGE fan of the first film I was pretty let down. I thought they were going to try and capture the spirit of that one and update it, but all they did was show us stuff we've already seen before. I'm not a fan of nostalgia for nostalgia's sake.
Good for them, they got my money and the film is breaking records, but I still feel like I was suckered.
Ain't that the truth.
Sure, I'll check it out. I just won't watch TLJ again. Once was enough.
Bummer.
Great tune. When I was a kid I thought he was saying "every highway".
Temporary insanity
Exactly, I never understood why "dated" became an insult.
Exactly. Great post. The title of this thread is completely hyperbolic.
When I reached age 17, I didn't feel like I was a child anymore. Just saying.
Yes, she WAS so pretty back in the day. That tattoo on her stomach is god-awful. I'm more of a fan of her dad's 60s through 80s films, anyway.
Haven't heard anything about that but if it's true I'd say retiring at age 95 is admirable, most people don't even live that long.
No, you hate that you see so many people enjoying it and don't understand why you yourself don't like it. People who can't get into The Beatles are the same way.
It was when I was a kid, not so much now.
As with Ricky Gervias in the original Office series, the fact that he's a cringeworthy asshole is the whole point of it. I'm surprised you don't see that.
Look, I love the Lynch film and thought the SyFy version was okay, but the idea that they're going to try this again is ridiculous. The story is just too weird for most people and they didn't get the lingo. People thought the Lynch film was boring and slow, but they want to stretch this out into two movies?
Go for it by all means, I'll watch it. I'm just curious as to why they think it will be a moneymaker now, unless they're going to try to dumb it down for the masses.
Unfortunately, no. This was one of her films where she was trying to shed the past and become a "normal" actress. Still looks damn fine though.
I'm a fan of a cheesy early 90s heavy metal movie called Shock 'Em Dead that's she's in. If you're a fan of her you'll get a kick out of it.
