Pretty typical slasher movie, if I'm honest.
It is probably the best of the sequels but that isn't saying much.
In fact, I would say it is about as good as H20.

True, as a HUGE fan of the first film I was pretty let down. I thought they were going to try and capture the spirit of that one and update it, but all they did was show us stuff we've already seen before. I'm not a fan of nostalgia for nostalgia's sake.
Good for them, they got my money and the film is breaking records, but I still feel like I was suckered.
Yeah, it all was very derivative. Considering the hype, I was expecting something about this one to stand out from the others.
But there was no originallity at all.
Entertaining film though, I guess.
It was ok, but I still very much prefer the original Halloween, Halloween II, and H20 as a trilogy. I loved Laurie in H20 and thought that was a powerful film about her facing her trauma and her past.
This new one feels like a money maker.
