Indiscipline's Replies

Ehhh, I don't feel like it cheapened it at all. I also liked the film better than I thought I would, despite them using all this imagery from the Kubrick film. I'm surprised King was okay with them doing that because he HATED that adaptation. "Dark fad", what a perfect descriptor. Wake me up when the nightmare ends. I go for walking for hours and always use my 3rd Generation iPod Nano. That thing still works like a champ. I'll be on the front lines. I'm bored to death of this shit. After all this "sanitized for your protection" nonsense, of course the edgy will make a return and be welcomed with open arms. Dave Chappelle stays pretty edgy in his stand-ups but I'm sure he can't wait to go farther. It's not really about that. He probably won't win, but it sets the stage for the future. Disney +? Noooo, not giving them anymore of my money, guess I'll have to sail the high seas. We just have to trudge on and hope he or whoever controls him don't ruin the country in an irreparable way. I looked it up as well out of curiosity. I'm glad he found his place in his podcasts, because I wasn't laughing. He was better in strictly comedic roles. Just my opinion. I'd say the hottest women ever aren't even in Hollywood or music. Good looking gal for sure, but be on the lookout in your city or town. I totally agree. Even if she wanted to ruin her life at a younger age, she's an adult and should be able to do that. Freedom of choice. I was asking someone about this and basically that time she shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi, her family used that to take over her career and finances. She seems a little bit crazy on that tape, but I'd say more out of frustration. She's 40, they should let her be an adult for a change. In rap before gangsta rap in the late-80s, yeah it was kinda-sorta uplifting most of the time. It seems like it's going to take 500 failures to make them stop doing this. By failure I'm saying I'm sure it makes money initially, but then people just go and watch the animated one a million times instead. Oh yeah, I saw both in the theater for nostalgic reasons, too. That's an apt assessment on how I felt they turned out. I've only seen the Indy one that one time, but Rambo 3x. I can't imagine anyone is clamoring for this film, even that last one only had a medium buzz for it. I feel like there should have been the trilogy and that's it, how great a legacy that would have been... Honestly, it was not the right who has decided to inject politics into every known aspect of the internet and beyond. I'm pretty sure you know that. If you want to talk particular aspects of film and filmmaking, there are plenty of politics-free threads here. If you want to talk about cinematography, I'm sure no one will come in and type "because Biden has dementia".
