Meh...right place, right time. That doesn’t suddenly make these guys not boring as fuck to watch onscreen. Yes, but do you like R.O.T.O.R.? The psychedelic montage is Dave basically passing through Kubrick’s/Clarke’s version of a wormhole. At the end of it, he reaches the home of the aliens who created the monolith, at which point he is placed in a “zoo” of sorts, where the aliens/monolith will eventually transform him into what’s known as “the starchild”. This represents the next stage in human evolution. Once Dave reaches this stage and has been transformed, he returns to Earth to advance all of humanity to that next evolutionary stage. If you’re at all a fan of the movie, I highly recommend reading the novel. It’s one of Clarke’s best, and greatly clarifies a lot of what you see in the film. Please stop saying “JuJi”. Get a hold of yourself. The Last Jedi is an abysmal film. No, Bojack is definitely more of the same. It’s still great if you like the characters, but there’s nothing happening that they haven’t already covered three times before. Haha, you’re really pushing this Chris Klein thing. At least Chris Klein seemed like a nice, humble guy. Lol, this is the most cringe-worthy comment in the history of this site. Also, wake the fuck up. Jaws has aged amazingly well. Haha, nothing. I was just being a smartass. Do you also have a sheer love of video, or is it only film that you adore? I love it when anyone uses the word “syntax” in an attempt to show strangers on a Star Wars message board how smart they are. I was being sarcastic. It’s Star Wars, not hard science-fiction. Whether or not they draw on reality/fact is irrelevant to the stories being told. Well it certainly seems that you have. Trust me, we’re all very impressed. Lol, yes. Lots of people are stupid. And the original trilogy used a ton of blue screen. The presence of blue/green/pink screen doesn’t necessary mean CGI. It’s there for compositing. Netflix has an incredibly inept story department...plain and simple. Altered Carbon is a two-hour movie, not a ten-part series. How this wasn’t obvious from the get-go is beyond me. In fact, I have yet to see a single original program of theirs (other than Bojack Horseman) that doesn’t feel hollow/superficial. Netflix churns out unbelievable amounts of content in the hopes that some of their shit will stick, but absolutely none of it has the cultural impact they’re hoping for. From beginning to end, the entire “network” contains the most unsatisfying storytelling I’ve ever seen. Lol, no. It’s based on an excellent novel where human-to-human body transfer is the basic conceit. Why? The prequels featured wall-to-wall practical effects, so if CGI is the argument you’re making for why the prequels sucked, it’s an invalid one. https://youtu.be/jhpFsO8wUoI
