"Middle-aged" doesn´t refer to the half-way point in your life...
35 isn´t middle aged...
This is gonna be a bit obscure but Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
I agree that people don´t have to click on it but the fun topics are far too few and far between, you shouldn´t have to wade through a bunch of political trash to find a topic you want to talk about it, when there are several boards devoted to politics.
Anything without politics is more fun.
I don´t miss how overpriced they were, or paying late fees. It did serve its purpose in its era though. I miss renting video games, that you could basically try before you bought. The other thing I miss about renting movies, is that everyone would have to get together to watch it, and it would almost be like a social event to watch a movie with friends or family. That said, I don´t think anything can beat the convenience of being able to watch basically anything you want today, whenever you want.
Sleeping with the enemy
Then a case can´t be very strong if its built around the testimony of one witness. I have seen it.
You are correct, but in 1993, there was not enough evidence to criminally charge Jackson. To me paying a settlement is not necessarily an admission of guilt. I do agree it is difficult to find the truth especially when an alleged victim admittedly committed perjury...
He was found not guilty twice, why wouldn´t I give Jackson the presumption of innocence? But apparently, all you need is a 4hr documentary to undo years and years of policework, to assume someones guilt.
Theres a difference between naivete, and stupidity. I don´t care how confident he was that the kid was brainwashed, why take any risk when you don´t need to take a risk at all? He was confident, is just a poor rebuttal to this problem.
I think there are loads of variables as to why people commit crimes, being secular or not is just one of them. If by link, you mean there is some kind of causality, then no I don´t believe that but it could be a contributing factor.
Reading comprehension is not your forte. Wade lying or not is not the point. I don´t doubt victims are susceptible to coercion, being prepped or whatever else that might make them lie in court. The point is that no guilty paedophile with a brain would take the risk of having one of their victims be their star witness when you could just easily pay and train a non-victim to be your defense witness and avoid any risk of your victim, telling the truth on the stand. Do you get it?
You misunderstood my comment, I have no problem with the beliefs of atheists or agnostics, I just don´t like the holier than thou attitude of a certain few that make out like, anyone that has faith is somehow beneath them. The comment I replied to, "religion does more harm than good", I clearly have a problem with, when the vast majority of violent criminals are secular. My opinion is that, people can have differences in beliefs and people with all types of beliefs will invariably commit crimes, but saying all religions does more harm than good is about as stupid as saying all Muslims are terrorists or all atheists will end up being serial killers...
Yes, the world politics of 500-900 years ago, has so much relevance to today. By the way, saying the colonization of South America by the conquistadors was motivated by religion is a huge reach...
People seem to paint people of religion with a broad brush because of the atrocities committed by Islamists. Id be willing to bet non-Islamic religious people that commit crimes are far outnumbered by their atheist and agnostic counterparts.
Who said Islamophobia wasn´t real? The difference is not everyone who criticizes Islam, is Islamophobic. This is what happens when you try to silence public discourse, whackjobs will resort to these types of atrocities.
Arabs also live in North Africa. Btw, Egypt is officially called the "Arab Republic of Egypt". Official language is Arabic, pretty sure that makes Egyptians, Arabic...
Don´t see how. He was a villain and his character died. Could def see him as the new Bond.
Mena Massoud is of Egyptian heritage, you don´t get much more Arab than that. To be honest, its about as diverse and politically correct cast enough as it is, to bother worrying about Naomi Scott not being Arab... Where is the outcry over Will Smith as Genie? He´s not Arab either, but he gets a pass because he´s black. So pathetic...
