She mentioned having overprotective, anti-nudity agents in an interview years back. I don't know if she fired them or what.
The character was also a bit boring - which is worse than her unlikeable traits. I'm sure Samara will make it very watchable.
I wasn't alive back then, but I am aware of this storyline.
I still think Witherspoon would have been more interesting. It's like people who wanted Pike or Kidman for the "Verity" movie, even though they could play that role in their sleep. I'm glad Anne Hathaway was cast.
I remember being blown away at the time. It reminded me of the "Scream" era when every slasher movie had insanely attractive people in them.
I saw it three times in the theater. I loved it.
Apparently, she charged Robert Brian Wilson money to practice lines with her and break down the script. I find that amusing and interesting.
Even Siskel and Ebert liked it.
Also:
Fun House (1981)
From Beyond (1986)
Parents (1989)
Out For Justice (1991)
Beethoven (1992)
Straight Talk (1992)
Brain Candy (1992)

The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)
Fierce Creatures (1997)
I heard Siskel liked Halloween III (1982) as well - I wonder if it's actually true?
That "Black Mirror" episode and "Gold" sort of showed flashes of the old Bryce.
They did tone down the male nudity and the raunchy dialogue - as well as the social commentary - in fact, it was nonexistent.
That was one of my favorite parts as well.
I cannot recall hearing that term in real life, but it was apparently around. I believe this was the first movie to use it.
I guess "Passon" also falls into this category, but it's fairly tame and not very good.
According to the producers, casting Jared helped get the movie on a fast track, but he wasn't exactly a huge star.
The movie suffers from being a tad too modern and slick, but in terms of overall execution, it's the best next to Part VI, imo
She's not a stereotypical "babe" like Sydney Sweeney. Hollywood probably thinks she lacks screen presence as well. Also, by her own admission, she doesn't want to be a big star (not sure I buy it, though).
I guess you can now add working with David Mamet (a Trumper).
Agreed, but it's still fun/hot to see her play this character.
