I appreciate the clip! I know you said it was heavily edited, and I have no idea why anyone would do that, but the only resemblance I could see was the part where they ordered the schnapps. Maybe I'm not observant as you, I'm not sure. Both seemed like interesting scenes for sure though. Hopefully someone else can chime in who is familiar with both films. While I haven't seen "Where Eagles Dare", I know Tarantino is well known for lifting scenes/ideas from other films, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if he got inspiration from that movie. If you have a YouTube link, I'd love to check it out. No EDIT: Let me elaborate. If anyone is deciding to vote for someone because of a bad joke from a comedian is fucking stupid. Tony isn't racist and even if he was, that doesn't represent Donald Trump or his positions. This is all just a hail marry to try to get some undecided people to flip. If you're flipping your vote because of an opener comedian, you're fucking dumb. But you do you, I guess. I respect diversity, not forced diversity. My first step into the Star Trek universe was Voyager, which was very diverse. I never viewed it as forced, although it probably was in one way or another. Now we seemed to have taken quite a few steps back on race relations because we didn't just let things naturally settle but started victimizing minorities. In my opinion, we're now at the point where it's so obvious that things are being forced that it's become annoying. Just make good movies, TV shows and commercials. Stop trying to pander. Nice job for Gene Roddenberry to try to look to the future and not dwell on the past! I didn't hear that, sounds good! I still don't think that has anything to do with what SHE did for people. Yes, she's part of the current administration but what did she do to make that happen? I'm guessing nothing. I'm not trying to start a fight with you, I just want to know why she might be qualified to be the President of the United States and what she wants to do for the people? Fuck Trump isn't good enough for me. I need to see plans and a future. Didn't click the link, but who fucking cares? He got off the hook, as he should've. That's all that matters. He can have any opinion he wants. His case shouldn't have been political. No one is asking you to root for her, just follow the story. I enjoyed it and never felt myself empathizing for her. Watch the original Australian show that is free on YouTube, I liked it a lot... unfortunately also got canceled though, so don't expect an ending. NOTE: When I say it got canceled, I almost think it was a good thing, the ending seemed like it would've gone off the rails. EDIT: Sorry, I guess it's British, not AU. Purposely shot at and live?? I think he was basically saying to the people, "Don't give up, no matter what". Of course that's up to personal interpretation but the dude almost died and he's still pretty much say "Fuck You, I will not back down." Obviously we're all of different political opinions but I think everyone should condemn this terrible action! While I'm not a fan of Joe Biden, I certainly wish no harm upon him. I hope people who did wish him to die remember that we're all fucking human and we're in this together! Don't wish harm on another person, we're all flawed in one way or another. I like way too many of his movies to give a shit about his personal life. Good actor with a knack for picking good scripts. I like him as an actor. I think we should just stop looking at politics, personal choices and personal life and just judge the product. But to each their own, I get it. You know who refuses to leave? It's you Bob.
