shareDeSantis is being supported by the Establishment Republicans and Trump isn't. The Est. Republicans are the same ones who proclaimed themselves "Never-Trumpers" throughout his presidency, willingly worked with democraps to sabotage him, and happily stabbed him in the back when the 2020 election problems came to a head. It's entirely possible that DeSantis is not who he appears to be, that he's copying Trump just to get into the White House, and then nothing will get done once he's in there, just like a lot of other RINOs who eat from the same slop trough as the Uniparty in Capitol Hill.
