I wondered that same thing. He wasn’t buying one property but several pieces of property scattered throughout London. Everything changes when he sees Mina in Harker’s Locket but the London plan was in place before that.
If you haven’t seen it already, check out Hell or High Water. It was written by Taylor Sheridan, who directed Wind River. Excellent crime drama set in the desert.
Agree 100%. Most of the hatred for this movie is beyond irrational. Either you like it or you don’t. I myself hated TFA. Every second of it. What I didn’t do, however, was go on a crusade oneline to crush anyone who has a different opinion than mine. I actually loved this movie and I know I’m in the minority. I’m not very optimistic about episode 9 due to the fact Abrams is back at the helm. I believe he is overrated as a director. Fingers crossed, though.

Some departments may, but our agency had a 48 yr old join up. He could run circles around guys half his age. Did a real good job, too. Ended up taking a job back in graphic design, which was his prior career, after about 5 years, but he was definitely a good hire.

I thought it was very enjoyable. I thought it was better than JW, which IMO was overrated. Don’t get all the hate for it.
Does nobody remember the cave scene on Dagobah in ESB? Luke goes into the cave and fights Vader. I always took that as Yoda projecting onto Luke as a test. I think Johnson was screwed either way. If he gave us a traditional lightsaber duel people would’ve been like “oh wow, how original”. He decided to take different and unique approach and people hated it too.
I loathed TFA but loved TLJ. I think you’re right. Probably the same with Solo. People are having a good time roasting it online but it’s getting good reviews.
He always leaves the windows down in his cruiser when he gets out as well. Drives me crazy. A cop wouldn’t do that. You’re basically asking someone to get into your car. And the way he wears his badge right next to his belt buckle has to be uncomfortable when he sits down.
