When I was in the 10th grade around 1980/81 I had a huge crush on a girl in my grade and I used to think about her while listening to that sappy “I Like Dreaming” song. :-) As far as I know Capra based the story on two premises: 1) No man is an island onto himself 2) No man is a failure who has friends She had major surgery to prevent developing cancer in the future. Probably took a major toll on her. Richard Marx? Moonglum was ambidextrous. I remember seeing some version of Swiss Family Robinson as a kid in the 70s. It might have been the version with Martin Milner. Many of them I don’t even recognize and those that I do recognize don’t interest me. Compared to last year when I saw quite a few of the best picture nominees at the theater. Actually after rereading the list I am interested in seeing September 5. They had this movie in the can for three years? I generally liked the 2002 movie but I like the Rod Taylor version more. I haven’t seen a single one of those films. I remember around 1979 it snowed in Miami. 1. Casino Royale (2006) - https://youtu.be/DmpahuVAsOU?t=98 2. WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (1971) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEJNeGBf0gE 3. I remember him telling me when I grew up that to swim in the YMCA pool back then all the boys and men were required to be naked and swimsuits weren’t allowed. I saw that movie at the theater and had no idea what it was about or that it was scifi until that scene with the house. If it is asexual reproduction than it seems odd to call it a male. Even male seahorses that give birth need the female to deposit the eggs in his pouch. I think the first car phone I ever saw in person was around 1980/1981 and it looked like a regular home phone from that period. I have never seen any of them but I have heard of one starring Bobby Driscoll and Robert Newton. Wasn’t Godzilla a female in this movie and laid eggs? I didn’t care for the 2005 King Kong movie except for the one scene where they are in a river and they were being attacked by giant creepy insects and worms. That scene stood out. War of the Worlds
