"I didn't decide that. Logical, fair minded people everywhere would come to that conclusion."
Rubbish. Telling a woman she's a c*nt is the absolute worst thing you could call her. Likening an African American, even one who's only 46%, is only the second worst thing you could say. It's therefore logical that c*nt is worse to any fair-minded person who equally values African Americans and women in general.
It's plausible that Barr, the idiot she is, didn't even know Jarrett is a self-identifying African American. She sure doesn't look it. Jarrett has more European DNA than African.
The indignation coming from the media on this one is phony to the core. I could care less about Rosanne Barr. I never liked her or her show one bit, but she's been hammered into oblivion mainly because she's a known Trump supporter.

How nice that you've decided that for the entire world.
"Oddly enough, I find your comments here far more offensive than Roseanne's."
Gee whiz. That's odd. You seem to suffer from both hypersensitivity and general misunderstanding. But don't worry. If your real name is outed I won't urge your employer to fire you for those issues. Good that we're in agreement on some points at least.
It's telling that she doesn't skewer Justin Trudeau on a regular basis. Spend 5 minutes on YouTube and you'll conclude, unless you yourself are an idiot, that the guy is a shameless, pandering moron. Of course, because he panders to women - no matter how stupidly - Trudeau gets a pass.

Articulate as always. No need to read your apology again for Bee's crass vituperation. She makes a living categorizing people she doesn't know and calling them nasty names, so she deserves to be hammered even when she makes a "mistake" and poots out a phony apology.
Roseanne was severely punished because Valerie Jarrett is a pale sorta kinda African American who the Clintons promoted to give an impression of diverse hiring. I don't blame ABC for what they did though. It was a matter of business, and Roseanne Barr is a moron for belching out what she did on Twitter. Either she doesn't know the present ground rules, which makes her obtuse, or she does know the ground rules (don't dare poke fun at or insult African Americans, no matter how pale, whether they were born in Iran, whether their mothers were white, etc) and went ahead with her BS anyway, which makes her a moron if she imagined any other outcome but swift dismissal. Maybe it was subconscious career suicide.
The thing is, it's not even comedy. It's just plain insulting, crass name calling to a receptive crowd. It's indicative of Bee's lack of talent that she can't even be clever (or funny) with these "observations."
This film erred in having so many teenagers at the center of the plot. There were some very effective and creepy scenes in this sequel, but in my opinion none of them involved the adrift teens. The best scenes involving the shark were: (a) the two divers at the beginning, (b) the helicopter attack, (c) the diver who got surprised by the shark about halfway through the film, and (d) Brody frying it with the undersea cable. The best of the rest of the film involves Brody, such as the development of the divers's film, his trying to convince the town council they have another shark on their hands, and his quibbling with the marine life expert who was analyzing the whale corpse. Some middling scenes that were much less effective than their counterparts in the original include the attack on the water skier (compared to devouring of Alex Kintner and the guy in the rowboat, say).
Unfortunately, this film had no chance to compete with the first. It's not just the absence of Spielberg. The 3 central characters from the first movie were all brilliantly drawn, distinct, and believable adults. In the sequel, Brody's character was contrasted only with the stereotypical dense, money grubbing local politicians, which is something the first film also had. Around this point in time, like with Friday The 13th, the studios drifted toward horror films featuring idiotic teenagers, presumably so they had an excuse to show some T&A from willing young actors.
That said, the actors playing the teens weren't as pathetic as what you'd see today. Keith Gordon was good, as he always was. The chubby guy Andy was played decently, as was the jerk Larry. Most of the others were pretty bad though, especially whoever played Mike and the girl from out of town he chased around. Also, way too much time was given to the beauty queen Tina and her dopey boyfriend, although his death was pretty effective, so far as it goes.
I give this sequel a passable 6/10.

That's the rules the so-called progressives have laid out, unfortunately. I don't advocate engaging in the crass ugliness of Samantha Bee, or Trump for that matter (who if he has any political plans beyond staying president would be better served removing his Twitter account), but when it comes to demanding that people lose their jobs for their bigoted public behavior then you have to fight fire with fire. Right now there is little weight behind conservative complaints beyond certain media like AM talk radio, nor much weight to complaints of people like me who think both Dems and Repubs are ugly and stupid in their own ways. It's the advertisers that are the main concern, and proof positive that liberals dominate the entertainment and news industries (I'll charitably call it news) is the fact that little pressure is put on the likes of Samantha Bee from advertisers and networks. Once the Bees of the nasty world of entertainment news get the axe, then I'll believe there's parity on this front and some kind of consistent standard being applied.
Well, Samantha Bee does make fun of the funky haircuts of chemotherapy receiving cancer patients (she accused the guy of having a Nazi haircut). But so long as she hates Trump all is good. Under those conditions it's no big deal to call women c*nts. Bee highlights why most of the "progressive" world's indignation is hypocritical and phony. All just power plays, as with the most wretched of Republicans. Two sides of the same coin, both of which are scarred.
RussellNash's answer is 100% correct and a model of moviechat wisdom.

They are. Just as much as any other group anyway. What makes progressives a bit more nauseating is that they belch their hatred and bigotry under the guise of tolerance and social justice.
The OP is referencing the time when Samantha Bee eviscerated on her show a Trump supporter's funky looking haircut. The guy was a cancer patient who had recently been receiving chemotherapy. The tolerant progressive Samantha Bee is back in the news for calling Trump's wife a feckless c*nt because, as we all know, only feckless c*nts don't make a stand for the progressive's vision of immigration policy.
There is no indication in that article that the 23 people were hired specifically because they are men, or Caucasian for that matter. Yet Kiri Hart explicitly stated that she came into a new position of power with the intent of making her creative team "all women."
You don't seem to grasp the difference. Maybe you do and are just pretending to be dense to serve your cause, or maybe you are that dumb. I doubt we'll get any insight from you on that.

Who knows? The people that purport to be the experts on these statistics - undoubtedly more expert than a biased bigot such as yourself - claim this to be the case. Or should we trust you because you've done thorough research? I don't even believe the 11 million number to begin with, but it's the best numbers we have, unfortunately. Go ahead and cite more authoritative sources, Sammy. We'll all be waiting patiently. <crickets>
So to your mind, bigotry against an entire groups sexual identity that can very well see them attacked and killed, is the same as making fun of trumps hair? Yup you got me, total hypocrite. fucking idiot.
No, I'm saying that many among those fighting the Bushes and the Trumps in the name of equality are themselves guilty of bigotry against entire groups, namely white males. And that indeed can lead to violence against such groups. There are plenty of stories of men and women killed in the USA in recent years - usually by black males - specifically because of their race and gender. If the rhetoric you claim to be fighting can lead to bad consequences for women, homosexuals, whoever, yet deny that the same insulting hyperbole toward men, white people, etc, is benign, then yep, you are a flaming hypocrite. It's the only reason I'm paying any attention to you. You're a textbook example of SJW hypocrisy that ultimately leads to its own inspired violence.
No it isnt, its promoting equality. Its saying we hire women, and pointing at it. Unless she says, Im not hiring men because they are men, you have no argument.
No, she's indicating a practice of preferential hiring for women. That's gender discrimination if the intent isn't to do a job search that hires the most qualified people. She's arguing that gender plays a role in making someone more "qualified" for a job at Disney (which it could be in uncommon situations).
Note the following about Kiri Hart, the head of the Lucasfilm story group (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/22/movies/star-wars-last-jedi-women-run-universe.html):
"Kathleen Kennedy founded the group in 2012 when she succeeded George Lucas as president of Lucasfilm, putting Kiri Hart, a former film and TV writer, in charge of the unit. Ms. Hart’s first move was to make the story group entirely female, starting with Rayne Roberts and Carrie Beck."
