Good point. GoT nudity is often in dramatic and sometimes violent scenes. Also, the show itself was pretty dark and disturbing outside the nude scenes. It takes some of the titillation away. Baywatch was just a goofy show that never took itself seriously so it was more “fun” to watch. I still don’t know why creators have become so defensive in recent years. There was a time when, if a movie or something didn’t do well, the creators would shrug and move on to another project. Now, they whine on the internet and it never helps the BO or anything so why do it? Technically, the original also had an interracial marriage. Kang is an Asian name but I think he was a white guy. His first appearance had him sending the FF through time. Sure, the 60s could be silly but he was always out to rule the works and kill Reed. You are right that he became nuanced later but we’re still talking the 80s with Walt Simonson and John Byrne turning out some of the greatest Doom stories that turned him into one of the greatest comic villains of all time. He’s up there with Magento and Thanos and deserves to have a proper live action version. Comic Dr. Doom has never “just done evil things”. He’s always had a noble side. Using the 1994 FF movie as a reason why Dr. Doom can’t work is a bad argument. That movie was never even meant to be released. It was made for copyright purposes and it just so happened to end up on bootlegs. Dr. Doom can absolutely work in live action. It’s a bad movie movie but it’s technically a more faithful adaptation than the movies that’s come out since. The Tim Story movies had him as an American business man with metal skin and electric powers. The Josh Trank movie had him as an astronaut who was turned into a psychic robot by the Negative Zone. … and hopefully the MCU version won’t be just Evil Iron Man. People keep bringing up that ONE story as if that’s the only Dr. Doom story that has ever been written. It’s as if they want to ignore the decades that came before and even all the stories that have happened since. I hope Doom isn’t a Multiversial Tony Stark. Those aren’t bodyguards. It’s Secret Service. Seems like the Secret Service got ‘im. A little over one year has passed in the show’s timeline as they’ve only had two All Valley tournaments. The MC supported Jax even when they realized he’d screwed up. You’d think there would still be some people out there gunning for SAMCRO. Yeah, Jean saved everyone from Apocalypse in the previous movie but I'm not sure of any other significant saves from the female members. It should also be mentioned that Mystique's actions created the Sentinels which killed everyone in the future and that had to be undone. Christianity did not originate in Europe. I was born in the Boot-heel of Missouri, lived in the Ozarks and then moved to Southern Illinois so I think I qualify as having lived in the country. I see no reason for her actions. The dog could have been given to someone who didn’t hunt pheasants. Or it could have been kept as just a pet. As for your illustration, if a person has a dog killing chickens on the farm, they were likewise given away. I thought it was generally understood in the organization he was meant to take a fall. Butch’s matches are televised and everything so Vince probably recognizes him. As to why that is, Vince is a pretty opinionated guy and likely looks down on bums who take a fall for the mob. I’ve heard there was no official report of any gangs committing ACO-related crimes but rather, it was the media trying to get people to believe entertainment/art causes violence (something that has yet to fully go away).
