I can see why Coppola wanted Pacino in this now, Pacino somewhat resembles Sheen in a Sicilian way. Boyish with big expressive eyes and can project a quiet watchful demeanor. Dracula is a fantastic film IMO. What about men on men in prison, is that ok too? You remind me of been Schillinger and the neonazis in OZ. McQueen is too old whereas Sheen looked 10-15 years younger than his age. Coppola wanted Pacino as Willard actually but Pacino didn't want to leave NY for the Philippines. He didn't like going to Sicily and Cuba (S. America) and got sick in tgf2. You know those two could still have been murdered. Kate mentioned that she should've fought more to live and for all we know Sarah ended her suffering as a mercy killing and/or because she was also in love with her husband. She did admit to being attracted to him while he was still with Kate. Maria was shown briefly conscious after the car accident, that's it. She could've died as was shown and implied or she simply became unconscious and someone finished her off after. There were cars and lamps during ww1, no idea why he was so amazed by it. You should watch Deadwood then and the use of colorful language on the show to reflect is setting and characters. She died in 88 but even if it wasn't a remix of the 80s, I wouldn't mind her liking a newer song as the difference in music/taste from 80s & today is not as wide a gap as say the 80s & 50s like in Back to the Future. I was surprised Charlie was from ww1 because they had light bulbs by then, even cinemas as for films, yet he acted like he never saw or heard of a lamp before. I know! The men especially! After a day out, I feel so icky I have to shower thoroughly but these people don't have the same urges apparently. Lol. I know! I just marathon-ed this film today and wanted to know about a second season but instead I had to read about possums on and on! I agree and it was like that for every single character too. I liked that scene too. Kevin had the worst faith of them all. Will there even be a season 2? It should've come out in 2016, and it's 2017. No idea but I love her necklace as well. Empire of the Sun The Last Emperor I don't mind discussing different opinions but sometimes it gets testy and in the end, it can't go much farther than that. Whereas talking about a love/passion for a film for example, you can discuss the music, the characters, the actors, plot, certain elements, the theme, possible sequel/s, questions, etc. And they all come from a place where things will less likely be misconstrued you know? When I watch somethin, I like going to the boards to read/reply to certain topics, whether I like a film or not. But when I don't like the film, I visit the board just once & leave unless someone replies to me. I prefer hanging out in boards of films I like, discussing what I like rather than discussing why I hate something. I have seen the miniseries of TMOA btw & read it too but tbh I prefer the mini. I'll give you a thorough review of my take on tgf if you want but I'm oh my phone so I'll do it later on my computer. I do like the third one but it does have problems. I always imagine how it could've been improved everytime I watch it tbh, lol! Idk I don't find them particularly slower paced tbh. It's like Star Trek, it isn't for everyone but even if it is, there is a way to introduce it at the right time/moment, & which ST to introduce to them first. It's like school there's a process to learning to appreciate a wide variety of films bit even then, you won't like every genre/subjects.
