Yeah maybe although it was neither explained nor displayed at all. (Aside from the reveal that she'd completely forgot she'd been there before)
He makes other comments like using the term 'boy' and making reference to gospel music.
And then when he asks John boyegas character if one of the suspects told him where the gun was and boyega told him no
"And he didn't even tell you huh?"
It's not the kind of overt racism you get in some films but it's very clear that he in fact prejudicial against black people
Yes I get the communal aspect but you can still have that sense of community without everyone living together in one building at night (although I accept there might not be enough housing for everyone otherwise)
I spent eight million dollars on this. Max Fischer: And is that all you're willing to spend?
That's correct, the only difference is the audiences perspective, we know sara didn't do we assume gabe did (as you would). They both think each other is the killer. If Gabe is being a bit smug it's just his knowledge that he's found the killer and he can tell how scared she is (although that's because she thinks he's the killer)
I thought maybe he applied for a role as a homeless person but changed his appearance sufficiently that nobody recognized him? It's a bit far fetched but there's probably about twenty or so years between the drowning and that scene (assuming Truman is 30 something)
She's a phenomenal actress, although I do agree the accent didn't work if she was meant to be an American native
The actual answer is he would have ran away. Because he knew what would happen to him once Marcellus found out. Which ironically would have prolonged his life (maybe not for that much longer though)
I agree with you, didn't work for me completely. That opening scene though has to be in the mix for best tarantino scene. The bar scene was the other part of the film which I enjoyed( but it went on a bit long)
Nothing else really stands out that much aside from waltz for steals the whole film
Don't believe everything you read, losts ending was really quite good (compare it to game of thrones which dropped the ball in many ways)
The problem with lost was the writing got a bit sloppy before the end and they didn't tie up everything. The ending itself works though
