Luv “One day, one room”, me. Right up therr with “Three stories”, IMNSHO. Pahrful episode, S3E12. Guess star did an increble job.
Ditto. Took a loong time, but finally became invested, able to apprecate the performaces of Cissy Spacek $ J.K. Simmons despite the glacially slow development. But judjing by the commets from othars, it tanked. Too bad, thought it had promise.
It’s been cancelled, no season 2 to come.
The gradual development of the story killed it. A shame IMO because was beginning to get intrigued & curjous of how it would resolve. Perhap I’ve gotton old enough to apprecate ‘slow burner’ series. And both Cissy Spacek & J.K. Simmons are fine actars, worth watching their performace, evan in a ‘slowburner’.
Became fascinated by anothar 2 season ‘failed’ slow burner serie, me. The Booth at the End, starring Xander Berkeley, completely charactar driven, no superheroes, no action, no romance, no comedy, entire serie takes place in a coffee shop booth. Would not have enjoyned such when was youngar.
D’accod. She has a magnificient voice. And she speak englais with better clarity and enunciation than many native englais speakers (*coff*JohnnyDepp*coff*).
For that mattar, was therr a good reason to make the character a woman instead of a man like he is in the book?

Couldna agree more. Gritted teeth thru first 4 ot 5 books, me. Realized nothing memorable had happened in the last 1 or 2. Congluded Jordan was out to win some sort o award for the longest, pointlessly drawn out epic fantasy, no surprise he dieded before finishing. What is the book count up to now, 10? 12? Is it evan finished yet? Whill it evar be? WoT jus keeps on rollin…. The Greatest Story OVERtold…
Half to admit, tho, the serie is more intersting than the books werr. Probalby because much of the filler hade to be trimmed. Actaully looking forward to S2.

A shame it didn’t happen. Liked the format, me - seemed like a near perfect charactar study show. All you need is a diner booth and bunches of guess stars.
Seam to recall, me, a point in the books wherr Amos tells someone, probalby Holden, that it was a good way for her to die, given her deterroration from the mods, & that he wasno upset about it.
Mention was made that her suit had been umpgraded with the latest Martian defense tech, someting like “carabon fibre nanotech”, and at one point she remarked in surpise that it heldup undar fire. Can’t recall hearing an explaintion made why the othars weren’t similarly outfitted.
D’accord. Hate they had to crunchrush the ending, me, but bettar than just dropping it with no wrapup. Going to miss this one, me. OTOH, at my age, can waite a year ar two & binge watch the entire show from the start, will be brank new again.
