I was slightly more generous, I gave it a 5, but I agree, it was just childish in the extreme and quickly became very boring! Haha no I didn't take my daughter to see this (but then she is only 3 months old so wouldn't know what's going on anyway)... that said, it is rated an 18 so that's a bit of a hint. I thought it was a terrible film though, I thought it was going to be a comedy horror (like the trailer made it seem they would all suddenly realise they're going to be killed and eaten), I didn't think it was going to be the same childish joke the whole way through (basically 'stick your sausage in my bun'). It's a shame because I found the whole film really disappointing.. perhaps I'm just too old for it? I agree they are a bit inconsistent on the rules (i.e. why do they not cover themselves in zombie guts every time of it means the zombies don't notice them?) but I guess there wouldn't be a show if there wasn't a bit of tension sometimes! Glad to hear it! Me and my husband were discussing that it does seem to have become a bit more 'comic book' and unrealistic but it's a show about zombies, what do we expect? I hope the rest of the season plays out well! I think they are an odd couple considering Ricks past relationships.. she's certainly much stronger than Lori or that blonde woman in Alexandria (sorry I can't remember her name right now)... she just doesn't seem his type (we've not really seen her in any previous relationships to be able to judge her type). That said, I think the actors are doing a pretty good job of selling me on the relationship. I feel like I'm the only one enjoying this season.. this last episode in particular seems to have been a return to the old days of fighting walkers rather than the show taking itself too seriously.. and some of the walkers have become quite comic book' like the weird monster at the junkyard and the woman in today's episode! And I love Negan as a villain! I also agree that I would like to see what some of the characters were like before the zombies took over, I would like to see Negan and Jesus' back stories for example because I'm sure they were just regular guys before all this happened.. what makes a regular guy become a 'character' like we see now? I do agree that the show has become slightly formulaic with the 'new town, new villain' plot but I'm enjoying it this season.. Negan is certainly more interesting than the Govenor! I don't know how any of them afford it! It doesn't depict life anywhere so far as I am concerned.. people hanging around in cafes, pubs and the laundrette every day, hardly any of them have proper jobs yet they all have large houses in the capital! And of course the regular murders, affairs and crimes! I agree, that scene is heartbreaking.. I think Patricia Arquette does an amazing job! I love it! I think Clarence was originally supposed to die and I agree the happy ending does seem very much the work of the studio but I don't think it matters, the film isn't exactly believable the rest of the way through so where is the harm in a feel-good ending? All star cast doesn't always equal good film though.. Shark Tale is one that always sticks in my head for that with Will Smith, Renee Zellwegger, Robert DeNiro, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Martin Scorsese. Luckily it did work with this film but I think whilst quite a few of the actors went on to be big names (like Patricia Arquette and Brad Pitt) they weren't really at the time. I agree, I think we all feel a little responsible for the success of this site whereas none of us had any sense of ownership of IMDb! I'm enjoying this series, I think Negan is a good villain, I really love to hate him! As for not seeing Rick so much, I personally see that as a positive.. more characters add more interest, at least for me as I find Rick can sometimes be a little moany and self-righteous, it's good to see him starting to get back into battle mode though! I'm interested to see where the rest of the series goes and I'm glad for some new characters and communities to follow! For me it's because I tend to comment once I've seen a film or show that has interested me enough to comment and in all honesty, how many times does that happen in the space of a couple of weeks? We can't expect it to happen immediately! I've been commenting on here far more than I ever did on IMDb because I want this site to succeed.. I want a place to go and chat about movies when I see one that takes my interest and I love seeing other people's opinions on films too (even if the comments are from before the move). I guess it will just take time and effort. Yeah, she definitely seems to have become a teenager rather than a child although IMDb says she is only 9! She's very grown up for her age and I think it wasn't even the start of the season, it was after the midseason break that I noticed it. I agree.. apparently humans have a 50 year cycle.. I guess that's how long it takes us to forget the lessons we should learn so we're actually overdue but I do find it sad that we don't learn! I always thought that people with dementia remembered things that were in their long term memory but not in their short term memory so I found it surprising that he didn't remember his time at Auschwitz. I guessed the ending quite early on but that didn't detract from a really good film for me.. I thought Christopher Plummer was a really good lead and I completely bought into the emotions of the film every time he realised his wife had died and having to remind himself of his life's story. I hadn't heard of this film before so it was a nice surprise. I agree.. I really enjoyed the book but the film is typical Hollywood.. it's become more about the flirting between Roark and Jake than the actual case. I think the most ridiculous part is when the house is burned down and Max comes running up to Jake. Oh, and the fact that they changed it so that the shooting was committed in front of every major character. Why does Hollywood feel the need to make these ridiculous changes?
