No, I don't think so. But he's been keeping that scientist they captured, so Naomi knows for sure that he would be interested. In that scene where the crew discussed what do with the sample, Johnson's dubious interest in the protomolecule was mentioned as another reason to destroy it. I think Naomi didn't destroy it in the case that it could be useful for the belters cause. Tried to watch Dark Matter, but as much as I love sci-fi and can accept quite a bit of cheesiness and cliches I could only take a few episodes. Comparing it to The Expanse is like comparing The Godfather to Suicide Squad. I think it was some kind of alien humanoid form of the protomolecule. The blue light in the end of the scene a clue to that. Pretty sure the attack is Mao's work. Since the beginning he (and his supporters) has worked hard to create war between Earth and Mars. Attack the martians disguised as UN and all the hard tension will for sure lead to the war. Why they want this war is what I am most curious about. Whole episode it seemed that all their old loyalties to the different factions were reawakened: Naomi as a belter, Alex as a martian and Johnson questioning Holden who wants to be neutral. Not so happy with how they did this part. Seemed a bit forced and unnatural to me. But as part of it, Naomi probably did the fake torpedo launch as a loyal belter, as Johnson wanted to study it. Not as fantastic as last episode this, but still great stuff. Loved the space-battle in the end. Just seems so much more realistic than all other Sci-Fi series. Bump. This should really be a sticky on top. Had to use minutes now to find the thread, as I needed to make a link in a post. Why not post about it in the board for La La Land instead of here: https://www.moviechat.org/movies/tt3783958 Could argue that all the voodoo stuff James is doing is taboo enough. I hope that is the case at least. Horrible bad chemistry with Hardy's character was the worst of it. But ye, not very likely too see any awards coming her way for that acting. Wow! Shows that Jim is very serious about this site indeed. Must have cost a bit to make this. Very nice commercial! 😊 ? Is it me you are calling "tubby" and if so: Why in the world would I call you an asshole?!? Always liked her. Did not like the lack of progress in her storyline the last seasons, which hopefully gets much better very soon, but the actress and character is fine. From personal taste very attractive too. The OP calling her "obese" based on that picture is for sure trying to carry over the "special humour" of the old GOT-board here. Can't say I got so confused in season 1, but the show has definitely been getting better and better for each episode since the very beginning. Till now in the second season it has just exploded through the roof of my expectations for this series. Last episode was just epic, and could easily have been a dramatic series finale in it's scope. Staged for sure. Need more attention, and for sure there will be more viewers next time that don't dare to "miss out" again. Agree. Wanted so much to like DS9, but Sisko was so poor compared to Janeway and Picard that it ruined it for me, even with the more interesting story arc. Voyager was great because of the premise - lost in space. Janeway was a great captain and I loved the doctor! Funny, I found DS9 about half as good as TNG, and maybe 3/4 as good as Voyager :) Quite a bit more than that by now I think. Just by looking at a thread like "Your Names" there is atm 169 posts with probably well over a hundred users just there. Then comes the many (like me) who don't feel the urge to share in that way, and then come the big majority of lurkers and posters who posts a bit here and there. I was actually thinking of making a thread on how this site is really picking up now! On the main board most topics are being posted in, lots of different movies and series are trending and more and more people seem to be "signing" in! Voyager fan here even if I just lurked around on IMDB :) Indeed! Did you see the part about Thomas Muir? Wonder if his story was some inspiration to Delaney's in the series? Quite the adventure. Nootka Sound for sure was in the middle of some hefty disputes between nations, even if quite a bit different than what we see in the series. At the moment this is not the most important IMO. I'm sure Jim plans to integrate more archived posts eventually, if possible. But PM's, more formatting options and ability to jump to (or see more clearly) most recent posts in a thread, among other things, is more important for now. Jim is probably working his ass off improving the site these days. Also there is a whole lot of archived posts here already to start off with, even if not complete. Cool eh? Btw I totally agree with you. In the end it was the main reason I never finished the show (stopped around S05 or so) or loved it the same way as TNG or Voyager. The captain is just SO important for these shows, and Brooks never did it for me. Shame, as DS9 was quite good, specially with it's more ambitious story arch. Yeah, have the same ugly feeling. I really hope that she only returns as a ghost in his visions, kinda like the mum in the first season. Most likely it will turn out she is not dead after all I fear.
