Not so much really. Apart from his childhood nightmare visions it's mainly the dad in shadows reading that horrible book that sticks out as something real and hinting at bad things happening. Otherwise we see memories where he seems like a normal kid growing up in a normal home in safe surroundings. It's all a bit confusing. I guess I will have to rewatch the second episode again where I think there was some more from him as a kid. That episode was hard for me to make a lot of sense of. Maybe now with a bit more clarity it will tell me more. When you put it like that, I can't believe that what was going on between Miller and Julie, and what was happening/creating itself on Eros, is supposed to just explode on Venus and be out of the story. There must be more. The alien entity/Julie did make an asteroid fly so fast that a spaceship could barely hang on, and make same asteroid go stealth, so I guess it opens up many possibilities for what else it can do. Create a false image for the world to see of it crashing into Venus for example? Either he was assimilated like Julie, and will be back like her kind of, or he is dead for sure. Where would he go "out" from a asteroid flying through space? And that landing on Venus I can't imagine any normal human would survive. Most likely dead i fear. Not so sure about him killing so much. Maybe the dog, but thats bad enough to see oneself as a huge monster and create traumas and blocked off memories by itself, for someone like David. Sure, maybe he manifests these other personalities that "take over", but the David (or real) persona is not a killer, so other personalities shouldn't be unless there is deep horrible stuff in his past making him want to be. A shadowy dad figure reading a scary children's book is not enough for that. I have a feeling that book is a key to what created the traumas that make him shut them out of his memories, linked with his father reading it - always in the shadows. This is for sure what he fears the most at least, apart from the yellowed eyed monster. Horrible book for kids that! Craziest is that people read almost as bad stuff to kids still. Check out german illustrated book for kids classic: Max and Moritz. One of the stories summary: "Hiding out in the grain storage area of a farmer, Mecke, the boys slit some grain sacks. Carrying away one of the sacks, farmer Mecke immediately notices the problem. He puts the boys in the sack instead, then takes it to the mill. The boys are ground to bits and devoured by the millerโ€™s ducks. Later, no one expresses regret." !! Hahaha, after watching last episode tonight I felt much more confident in understanding what was what than before. And then I come on here and read your theories and feel completely confused again ๐Ÿ˜Š "If I've read correctly, David has the ability to manipulate reality and manifest personalities so who's to say he didn't create Syd, literally and physically? So, instead of a pure figment, she's more like an apparition of his mind. Where she looks and seems real, where people can interact and acknowledge her, but she's actually just a construction of David's psyche still?" This would be so great! And it would explain something that bugged me quite a bit in the last episode; Why Syd is the only one who sees the gap opening in the wall with the red light behind just before they are separated inside the memory world. Young David obviously sees it going to hide behind the desk, and Syd, but not Melanie and Ptonomy? Found that very strange and it does give a strong nod in the direction of Syd either being one of his characters or my new favorite theory: That he created her. Would really love it if that was the case! English is only my second language too, so apologizes in advance for poor sentence-construction, choice of words and such. Not easy when one want to discuss a mind-twisting TV-series in a second language in the middle of the night ๐Ÿ˜„ Hahaha good one! ๐Ÿ˜Š I have this feeling the female subordinate of Fred Johnson who took control to divert the missiles have some ideas of her own about where they should go. Again a great episode indeed! This is just getting better and better, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Presumably the "aliens" crashed into Venus, but is it then confined there? And Miller is for sure becoming a part of it in some way, the same way Julie was. And there is still this part that they hid in the belt somewhere. Hope Miller survives and will be part of the show though. Probably my favorite character. Yep, was Venus. Could see the headlines on the news in some shots in the end where it said "Venus". For sure not earth at least. Didn't know this was an Australian production. Wow, hats off! Best war-movie I have seen in a long time and a contender for Saving Private Ryan as the most realistic one at that. Imagine the work going through all the hundreds of thousands of posts on all the subforums sorting out all the troll-posts. It would take years.. And after what standard should one judge something to be trolling or not? Yes, got a bit stressed here for some few minutes I must admit. "Oh no, someone hacked it!" or "Omg IMDB shut it down!" I was thinking until it shortly was up again. Guess it's still fresh and taking a bit of traffic + updates --> bugs will make it a bit unstable until all is set. Have to say site has been great with short loading times between pages and very smooth workings in general the last days though. Yeah, will watch the last episode tonight too. So nice to have such a great sci-fi series to look forward to new episodes of these days! Came here to say the exact same thing. Well, it's really good special effects and sets, so it's probably very expensive for a niche channel like SyFY to produce. GoT must have x10 the budget. Would love for it to be a bit longer too, but very happy with what we get anyway. Can't wait till the series is finished so I can binge watch it all :) Yep, just start typing. There is a million different discussions waiting to be continued around here. Even if the OP and most of the participants in the threads are not here (yet), others will chime in and continue (kinda like it was often on the IMDB-boards). Was more of a lurker on the old boards, but figured we all have to contribute a bit more here in the beginning to get what we all loved and treasured up and running again. Wow. You picked up the linking script very quick. I must be getting old haha :) Ok, it works. Guess I will have to google every time I have to do it for a while but no pain no gain :) Thanks again Jim Test 2: Yahoo.com
