Soldier is really underrated, it's a fun movie.
I watched:
Life - Really liked it. I must say that I'm quite easy to please when it comes to scifi/horror/creature films. It wasn't perfect but it was just the kind of movie I enjoy seeing at the cinema. Visuals were great and the ending was perfect. I will be watching this again when hits blu ray. 8/10
The Discovery - I've been looking forward to this and it did not dissapoint. Jason Segel is turning out to be a great dramatic actor. I hope Netflix keeps putting out quality films like this. 8/10
Young Offenders - Funny and heartwarming movie about two young Irish guys who go searching for a missing bag of cocaine. Nice little film. 7/10
Patriots Day - This was a nice surprice. I didn't think I would like it but within 15 minutes I was hooked and it just kept getting better. Some of the action/chase scenes were so tense that my palms were actually sweaty. It was also surprisingly touching. 8/10
The great wall - Just.. terrible.. I didn't even finish it so I won't rate it. I usually like Matt Damon but he couldn't save this mess.
Silence - I knew going into it that it propably wouldn't be my type of movie. Beautifully shot and the acting was fine but I just found it so slow and downright boring at times. Reminded me of Malick's style. 6/10
Drive - I think this was my fourth time watching it. Nicolas Winding Refn's best movie. A real piece of art! 8,5/10
You have over 8000 movies on your computer, wow, have you seen all of those?
Drive
I didn't even like the movie but I've listened to the soundtrack many times, It's fantastic.
For me it's the Uncharted games. The fourth one was a masterpiece. I like cinematic games that are story driven and the Uncharted games are just that.
I've only played the 2013 Tomb Raider but It's one of my favourite games. I've been meaning to buy Rise of the Tomb Raider for a long time now, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Superbad. LOVE that film.
others:
Step Brothers
Tommy boy
This is the End
I used to love Arthur when I was a kid, I watched it countless times. Haven't seen it in years so I don't know how I would feel about it now. Too bad the remake sucked as I like Russel Brand.
That's the only reasonable explanation.
I just replied to the Lars Von Trier thread and mentioned Melancholia, that's definitely one of the best movies about depression.
Not at all, there are only bits that are in slow motion..
Can't say that I'm a fan, but I've seen most of his movies out of curiosity. Melancholia was pretty great. I kept thinking about it for days when I first watched it.
Boy (2010) An absolute gem!
Duncan Jones - Moon. I hope he gets back in line with Mute after the terrible Warcraft movie.
There were pieces of the spacestation wreckage flying around the orbit and one piece hit one of the pods they were in and then they crashed into each other and the pods changed their course. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong..
Can't say for sure but to me it looked like it was absorbing him or something.
Is this still happening? I loved the first one.
I really liked it. It was like a B-level scifi horror with an A-level budget and cast. Perfect popcorn entertainment.
I loved the ending and I thought the song was a pefect choice for the credicts. Me and my friend turned to each other laughed and said "great song choice". It helps that I dig the song anyway.
I haven't been following what's up with this film, but I remember reading long time ago (few years maybe) that the first part will be the main characters as kids and the second part as adults. Is that the case still?
You're not the only one. I've never found it scary or even that good actually. This one looks creepy.
