9.6? Is it really that good?
As of this post, the IMDb rating is 9.6/10
That's elite level rating. Is it just a small sample size or is this really that good?

Yes, it was that good. Haters here should just stick to sucking dick
At least be objective
No. Just fanboys giving it a 10 because "Muh Rick Grimes"

shareBut I've been told that if you don't like it, it's only because you're a hater.
shareLol. I was TWD fan. I accidentally saw some reruns from season 1-2. It was great and then I remembered why I liked it. Now it's always the same, main characters find some dictatorship or fascist community and either fighting it or trying to dissolve from withing. Dead are just environmental hazard.
In season1-2 there where good actors, maybe not Hollywood a-listers, but still people who were either been or were becoming known faces. Laurie Holden, Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Sarah Wayne Callis.
Now all those spin-offs have one or two characters from the original series and all others are totally unknown talentless actors and actresses who weren't good enough to be even a zombie in TWD season 1. And all storylines are already recycled many times.

standing ovation
I DROPPED OUT DURING SEASON 8 OR 9...HOWEVER...THE PREMIERE OF THIS SHOW WAS QUITE GOOD...I WAS SURPRISED.
shareNo it wasn't. They start the series within minutes Rick cuts his hand off. Then endless depressing scenes and fantasies trying to pretend Rick is suicidal. They introduce us to a strong character who is killed right away in an attack, and surprise, there's a fat bloated Michonne. I was surprised that it was so bad I honestly could not think of anything they could have done to make it worse.
shareYEAH...NO....I REALLY LIKED IT...ALSO...I COULD NOT CARE LESS WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MICHONNE'S WEIGHT.
shareYou're a jerk, and probably a troll. I am not asking anyone to agree or disagree with me. If you liked that show you are probably suffering brain damage. Michonne getting fat in the show is like Hurley on Lost staying fat for 7 years, just another discrepancy. She was believable and cute when she first showed up, now she looks like a bloated matron. They waited too long and failed to make use of the time to write a decent script. It is worse than bad - it stinks.
Assume a normal viewer watching TWD and getting to the point where Rick is lost. People would want any future show to pick up at that point and explain what happened, and gradually unravel a story - but no, within minutes we see a totally pointless de-handing for no reason. They should have shown him chewing it off.
Plus the ... whatever the F they call it, the organization of the A's and B's was ridiculous. Garbage for the mind.
YOU ARE RUDE...AND NONSENSICAL...I ENJOYED THE SHOW...I COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS ON FATNESS...TRY COMMUNICATING WITHOUT THE UNWARRANTED EGO AND SMART MOUTH.
shareDo you imagine I care what you think or want your notes on how to post? You're just at the IQ level to appreciate such a pathetic show.
shareIn other words it was terrible. Truly and insults to fans and viewers ... and Michonne got fat.
shareI haven't seen it yet. I've been disappointed with every one of the spin-off series and think it's just going to be more of the same.
shareI was most disappointed with Fear, because my expectations were so high and there was a lot of hype on IMDb based on what we wanted/hoped it would be.
World beyond was utter shite.
Ironically, Tales of the Walking Dead was of more interest to me. It introduced a supernatural element to the universe, which I believe it should have had all along.

I really liked Season 4, and it went downhill until the demise of John Dorrie, and then it was unwatchably terrible. For me there was hope when Morgan and John Dorie joined the cast, but the plots and story just kept getting worse.
shareNo, it's not. It's the same boring crap. I had to fast forward half of second episode.
shareIt was, surprisingly, pretty good. I give it an 8-8.5.
Whether or not, it keeps the monetum up remains to be seen.
I think it is that most of the stuff we see now online is full of fake AI trolls. In so many forums and for example YouTube videos, they fill up hundreds of comments that are all the exact same kind of comment. copied from thousands of comments from years before, and not a neutral or negative review in the whole lot for pages or screenfuls.
Someone, some technology is making people's inputs on anything useless and fake.
From the first episode of this I watched the other day for free this new series is idiotic ... and Michonne got fat and looks like a jack-o-lantern. It's terrible.
TWD is a big franchise and has an audience that swarm it. I doubt it's anymore "fake" than any other show, or like LOTR would've had similar ratings.
shareYou always have to mindlessly pop off when you disagree.
Instead of looking critically at the differences. I don't care at all for LOTR, but LOTR followed the books or the spirit of the books pretty well and managed the production and timing of the movies pretty well. Also the basic screenplay and story was already there for it.
That is exactly what I am complaining about with TWD:TOWL.
The problem mirrors the problem of the entire series. It started out really well in the first seasons, but even then Woodbury and the Governor created a precedent for veering off into situations that were just gross and disgusting as opposed to be interesting or thoughtful. Of course it was a comic book, but there is no law that says they could not change the story.
It is a tribute to that first season that the characters and situations were so strong that people followed it for so long, and even into the sequel series as they just got worse and less believable. It was just used as a cash cow for AMC.
Plus as I think I mentioned, if you look in many online forums you see "testimonial" type comments that are all the same - worshipping stars, saying that TWD is the best series that ever existed. There is no real discussion about the merits or demerits of series online, and most comments online here are vapid and pointless or insulting or defensive.
You always have to mindlessly pop off when you disagree.
THAT DID NOT HAPPEN...YOU ARE MAKING SHIT UP NOW.
I meant the Amazon series, Rings of Power. That had low ratings.
shareNever heard of it.
