i thought it was great.
is it artsy? kinda? but in a david lowery/a ghost story sort of way. i've listened to a few podcasts on it now, and it's apparently a bit more comprehensible if you know the source material.
personally, i thought it was terrific. went to see it twice, in fact. i think it's filled with great sights, great images, & has an ending that i kinda saw coming but that i still absolutely loved.
ymmv as the kids so often say, but i highly recommend giving it a chance. but watch it when you're well rested, alert, and be prepared for something that's quiet and sometimes a bit sombre. i'd say go see it in a theatre rather than watching it at home, though. this is a film that i think needs the forced focus of a theatre viewing.
