What the heck happened

Part 3 of season 6 has been released and I skipped right to the last episode. Where was Silver and Kreese? Only Silvers name was mentioned 1 time by that sensai from the Iron Dragons as he asked where he was before his fight. What horrible writing.

reply

You can't just skip to the last episode.

reply

I wanted to make sure it had a happy ending before the watching the previous 4 episodes

reply

i'm fixing to do the same. i don't want my expectations too high.

reply

lol I can respect that. Definitely go back and watch the rest. I know some people don't like how it played out, but it is basically what I wanted, and I got what I wanted.

reply

So I watched the series backwards so the last final scene for me was Kim killing her grandfather and taking over her Cobra Kai dojo

reply

Let's just say it wasn't merciful

reply

Yea I just finished that episode on the boat. I'm watching this season in reverse order

"What the heck happened" is a good summary of the last part of season 6, actually. So all of a sudden - SPOILERS, obviously - there's a big brawl in ep. 10 for no good reason, with an accidental death that causes the tournament to terminate. When it resumes, Daniel gets to pick the venue for some reason and we're back in the Valley. Tory is allowed to compete as sole representative for Cobra Kai, with no sensei in her corner. Then Miguel joins Cobra Kai, and that's apparently fine (because he's a former member), and Johnny and Daniel also jump ships - thereby suddenly going from the losing team to the winning team, and the tournament has no problem with any of this. Kreese sees the light and kills Silver (and himself) to save Johnny's family because, ok, how else are we going to finish that storyline? And episode 15, happy ending, roll credits.

But hell, I enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Most hilarious line from Season 6 belongs to Chozen: "Binary Brothers are BACK!" Cracked me up for some reason.

Thats some rule where a competitor and sensei can change dojos in the middle of a tournament and win a world title. And sensei's fighting each other is now a tie breaker? And Miguel is now a world champion after never taking karate lessons until 11th grade. I can't believe how the 3 members of the Iron Dragons all lost. They clearly were by far the more skilled fighters. Maybe next year Netflix will drop season 1 of the Iron Dragon series?

reply

Iron Dragons spin-off starts with Zara as an alcoholic who has lost everything following her loss to Tory. Tory is now very successful along with Robby following her victory and getting the sponsorship deals.

reply

Yea I bet Zara lost a lot of her followers on social media. Did you hear anything about what Axel is doing? Or sensei Wolf? And is it possible that Kreese and or Silver knew some ancient Cobra Kai secret to be able to escape from exploding boats?

reply

No nothing about Axel after he loses he tells Wolf he isn't his student anymore.

I can see him becoming more like Bobby or from the original movie, maybe not becoming a religious figure, but he'll do okay in life, suppose you could argue he'll have a Barnes lifestyle.

In the flashback when Silver meets Wolf, its implied he has financial issues and lost his dojo. Silver said he'll buy back his dojo, but not sure with Silver dead and the fact he lost.

I imagine Kreese and Silver died on that boat, Silver had a terminal illness anyway so was screwed either way. Kreese finally admitted he'd been wrong and was prepared to step aside.
