Are you drunk? What decline? Since the war ended, GDP growth have been pretty stable. Ups and downs, to be sure, but averaging at about 2.5% - the US has only gotten richer and richer and richer, and the civil rights movement had zero impact on this. Racism certainly has never had a positive effect, that's just batshit insanity. As for crime, crime did indeed increase in the US from the '60s until the '90s - after which it dropped just as dramatically as it rose, and it's still dropping.
"But the '60s, that corresponds with the Civil Rights movement!"
Yeah, so does the moon landing. What of it? In Europe, we had more or less the same crime trends - climbing from the '60s and dropping after the '90s - and we never had the same problem with racism as you guys.
It hasn't been all a dance on roses, though. The divide between rich and poor increased massively thanks to Reagan, and both Clinton and Bush Jr. exacerbated this. The Civil Rights movement, however, has been an undivided boon to the country, and that's just a fact. You're looking at statistics in the dumbest way possible.
Edit: Oh, and the rise of feminism was at the end of the 19th century, called universal suffrage. So long before your "great" period. You just have the wrongest opinion I think I have ever come across. Congratulations.
Jonny was never made out to be a loser at karate, he was presented to us as a loser at life. Karate was the only thing he was good at.
I think Mr. Miyagi did cause the death of that person, and that is exactly why he didn't like competitive fighting.
And there we have it. You, curiousMInd101, and people like you, are the reason your country is going to hell in a handbasket.
Basil's reluctance to serve a proper dinner had to do with the chef having ended his shift. It is perfectly normal for hotels not to serve dinner after the kitchen is closed. In fact, it is highly unusual to provide such extra service. Maybe if the customer is a big-name somebody and it's a fancy hotel, but neither was the case here. The American was an obnoxious SOB, and any hotel owner worth his salt would have refused the condescending bribe. But, of course, this was Basil.
Or maybe they just didn't need it.
"What the heck happened" is a good summary of the last part of season 6, actually. So all of a sudden - SPOILERS, obviously - there's a big brawl in ep. 10 for no good reason, with an accidental death that causes the tournament to terminate. When it resumes, Daniel gets to pick the venue for some reason and we're back in the Valley. Tory is allowed to compete as sole representative for Cobra Kai, with no sensei in her corner. Then Miguel joins Cobra Kai, and that's apparently fine (because he's a former member), and Johnny and Daniel also jump ships - thereby suddenly going from the losing team to the winning team, and the tournament has no problem with any of this. Kreese sees the light and kills Silver (and himself) to save Johnny's family because, ok, how else are we going to finish that storyline? And episode 15, happy ending, roll credits.
But hell, I enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for happy endings.
Most hilarious line from Season 6 belongs to Chozen: "Binary Brothers are BACK!" Cracked me up for some reason.
Well - grand-patricide, anyway. But nobody's perfect.
Just how do you define "woke", exactly?
