Quentin Tarantino Says His 10th and Final Film Will Be "Epilogue-y"
share
I just hope it’s not Star Trek.
sharesame here.. : (
i don't mind seeing some more LA -ish settings but also anything more ganster related than western ?
hmm
Ok let’s see. So far we have:
2 crime / gangster
1 blaxploitation
1 samurai / martial arts
1 slasher / road movie
1 WWII
2 westerns
1 Hollywood / film
What’s left?
Biker Manga.
shareA horror film
A really good horror film!
That’s what I’m hoping for. Something with a B grade Italian feel to it. I don’t know why he has not done one yet. 👍
In fact, if he only has one film left in him and if he does not do a horror entry as his last one it will be depressing. Lol
I mean he did work closely on From Dusk Till Dawn which kind of went into that realm.
shareYeah, I do agree with you on that. I did recently hear he’s said he’s talking to Uma Thurman about Kill Bill 3 where Vivica Fox’s daughter is grown and comes for revenge. He counts Kill Bill as one film so it would not be his 10th film.
shareRomantic Comedy Musical
shareLike Grease? Tarantino should write and direct Grease 3? If QT is doing Grease 3 I think it should be a post apocalyptic Grease. No, wait. On 2nd thought how about a Grease / Red Dawn combo? The Russians were the bad guys in the 50’s so the Russian paratroopers could descend on Ridell High and Danny Zuko and his militia band of Greasers could take them on. But of course still a musical. I guess we could speculate on who would star in such a production. 😀
shareHow about The Outsiders remake?
shareScience Fiction.
shareComedy. Straight up slapstick whacky hijinks. Let's see the master knock one of them out.
shareDo a mashup, because why not?
shareIt will probably be a nostalgic piece like OUATIH.
Maybe set in the 80s . That would be fun
QT sure has put the pressure on himself for that "10th one."
And he's put some pressure on US.
We will first have to wait to see how many years it takes for him to announce the 10th one, cast it, put it into production.
What if he waits as long as he did between "Jackie Brown"(1997) and "Kill Bill Part 1"(2003) That was six years! 6 years from now would be 2025.
It was three and one-half years from The Hateful Eight to OAITH. That might put the 10th one out about 2023 or so, if he follows THAT time frame.
And then, after he finally releases that 10th film, QT can go away for another six years to decide on whether or not he will start making what he calls "his second set of old age films."
Really, the ball is in QT's court, he controls this now.
And he has this ace in the hole: for the most part, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has gotten some of his best reviews ever, so this Ninth Film can hold the fort for as long as it takes to get a 10th one rolling.
Kill Bill Vol 3: The Final F*cking One
shareIs he really gonna wrap up at 10? I think he’ll get bored if he’s not making movies. Cinema has turned to shit and we need directors like Tarantino to make it worthwhile. I hope he agrees.
shareA few years ago, Tarantino said he was heavily considering remaking one of the movies he wrote but didnt direct, like True Romance, Natural Born Killers, or Killing Zoe. He also said he was working throuroughly on a science fiction movie but not a “spaceship” movie, which may have just turned into Star Trek. I think he said he also tried writing a horror film but it didn’t work out.
Years ago he said teased that he’d love to make a Friends movie too.
a Sci Fi film would be good but NOT star trek couldn't give a crap about that.
