Despite the stereotypes
and few problems I have to admit i enjoyed this flick.
IMHO it's a clean 7 out of 10.

Any wokeness? If it's clean and if it's a decent action-horror/thriller I might check it out.
shareImagine not being able to enjoy a movie if there’s even just a subtle hint of wokeness in it. 🤦♂️
share...It's like living in a world full of rainbows and lollipops.
shareRight! These people should just give the fuck up and abandon all movies, TV, and books entirely! Just live in a bitter Fox News world.
shareThat's how we get bullshit like woke nonsense to fuck off, if we ignore and don't consume anything that it touches.
shareThat's NOT how you 'get woke nonsense to fuck off' apparently since progressive ideas have always been a part of mainstream media and your not watching it hasn't changed that.
shareHow is "get woke, go broke" a thing then?
Marvel comics for instance, are dying because no one is buying them due to their shitty content.
Yup.
Most woke stuff now is being anchored by cash influxes from investors and other holding corps., because consumers who still have a brain are "noping" out and holding our wallets instead of buying into their degenerate bullcrap.
Imagine movies that don't shove leftist propaganda down people's throats.
shareIt's not an american film...
sharePart american. And it's a Netflix film so people learned to expect shitloads of wokenes from netflix ...
shareEuropean cinema is not that big on wokeness and I suppose Euro-Netflix has some independence from the US
shareYou're actually right.
The film wasn't woke at all, and wasn't drenched in female empowerment like other American-made Netflix garbage.
It was quite refreshing, really.
But this is attributed to the fact that it was definitely made mostly by a foreign production company, just like the film Xtremo, which was actually quite a badass film despite being distributed by Netflix.
Actually...
All the white men were evil and/or stupid, while the two muslims were both saintly good. In Europe you absolutely can't picture muslims as the bad guys. There are too many of them and they control enclaves, especially in Germany. Plus, they behead you or make you go boom, as France demostrated lately.
I did notice they tried desperately to make the Arabs not look completely evil, but of the two of them, one of them was an absolute coward and died a coward's death. The other was portrayed as somewhat heroic.
However, the commander organizing the raid on the plane wasn't really stupid, just uninformed. Remember, they heard the radio message from the Arabs that they had a bomb on the plane, and were trying to gather as much information as possible before boarding.
Also, every measure he took before we saw the flashback definitely made him look like he was making all the right moves.
Also, the most evil of the terrorists was a gay guy, so extra props for making a member of the Rainbow Reich so Reichtsy.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention, the one straight-white American male who was a Marine actually helped save the day. He took command, got a hold of a gun and helped to keep the other vampires in the hold. Without him they would have flooded in and killed everyone sooner.
If it ain't white, it ain't right?
shareNot really. It's just a vampire story about a vampire and her son flying in a plane taken over by hijackers. Any wokeness you find is on you.
shareWas def entertaining and the special effects were really solid. I didn’t like how half the people were speaking English and then then the other were dubbed over. The little boys dub over was extremely annoying.
shareActually I thought the dub was excellently mixed, but your right the boy was a weakness. I thought it was ok but a little long. 6/10 worth watching if you like vampire tales. This one has a uniqueness to it. I am not aware of any wokeness in this film.
