Hilarious woke-free blockbuster

I barely go to the cinema these days what with everything being shit and woke, but Deadpool has been an exception - hilarious anti-PC superhero antics with incredibly choreographed gory action and surprising heart.

‘Deadpool 3’ is a worthy follow-up. Ryan Reynolds smashes it out of the park again, this time leaning into the buddy-cop formula with Jackman’s legendary Wolverine, who fucking hates Deadpool and the heart of the film is them insulting, pounding and slicing the shit out of each other.

Resurrecting Wolverine means multiverse bullshit, and if the film has any drawbacks it’s in the convoluted multiverse ‘lore’ and all the tedious exposition and clunky storytelling that comes with it.

Narratively the film lacks the powerful simplicity of the first two films (and some questionable choices are made surrounding Vanessa) but it doesn’t much harm the proceedings since we’re really just here to watch Deadpool and Wolverine go at it, and their bond ultimately holds everything together.

Endless gags and several surprising cameos pepper the whole film. The hit rate of the gags is high but maybe a notch down from previous instalments. Still, this is top-tier entertainment and more than keeps the Deadpool ball in the air.

This is going to make a fortune. I can tell that Disney and Kevin Feige will be seething with rage that their only successful recent Marvel movie is an anti-woke R-rated film with two straight white male heroes and a female villain, created by competent white men 🤣

Will they learn from this? Nope

reply

I was impressed they made a joke about woke shit ruining movies.

reply

Which part?

reply

when the female Xavier was introduced

This movie lacks absolutely nothing compared to the first two Deadpool movies.

Deadpool 1 was boring, uninteresting, unfunny and annoying.

Deadpool 2 was massively superior to the first movie. I actually really laughed out loud at it plenty of times.

Deadpool & Wolverine is just on another level. Absolutely fantastic movie!

reply

That’s a rare take but fair enough. I like them all but I’d probably put Deadpool 2 at the top, no idea why it’s considered the weakest by many, it’s a constant machine gun of genius gags propelled by a great story.

reply

What I said is not rare at all. Almost everyone I know didn't even like the first Deadpool that much.

Deadpool 2 is considered better by the majority. It's way better than the first movie.

The first movie has the annoying romance, has Wade transforming into Deadpool which took almost half of the mvie and it was stupid and boring. Deadpool 2 is hilarious.

reply

No, the majority’s preferences are revealed by the iMDB and RT audience scores, where Deadpool is preferred to Deadpool 2.

reply

The first Deadpool was good. The second one was better, and the new one is the best of the three. I don't think this is an outlandish take at all, as it seems to be the consensus among everyone I know, which I trust a lot more than what I read on a website.

reply

The second one is the best, when the hype dies down excited people will realise this.

reply

The second one is quite good, no doubt, but it's more of a decent movie with some really funny moments that drags in parts. This one is a very good movie, perfectly paced, with non-stop hilarity.

reply

You’ll see it clearly when the hype dies down.

reply

Melton, you are incorrect.

The majority prefer Deadpool 2 which is the better movie by far.

reply

‘Incorrect’ about what?

reply

Incorrect about everything.

OK, write the following text…

Bullshite response!

You can''t do better.

Now, mindlessly repeat your last post if it’s true that you’re a bot…

reply

Melton, you are incorrect.

The majority prefer Deadpool 2 which is the better movie by far.

reply

I also liked 2 a lot more than the 1st. Now i am interested in this third one

reply

Do it!

reply

I've still never watched Deadpool 2, mainly because I heard they put alot more focus on Josh Brolin's character Cabal than Deadpool and also feared the same jokes would be recycled because the 1st movie at the tie seemed like a one hit wonder just for the humor and you can only use that so much before it grows stale

reply

Deadpool 1 is totally unfunny.

Deadpool 2 is hilarious.

reply

Deadpool 1 was a masterstroke, Deadpool 2 somehow manages to be better.

reply

I agree, its a rare example of a trilogy where the first film was the weakest and the third was the best... opposite direction that most Hollywood trilogies go.

Interesting enough, the three Wolverine solo movies are the same way (Logan is the third one and BY FAR the best film in the trilogy)

reply

For me Logan is by far the worst Wolverine movie.

And it's not a trilogy since it's just a spinoff and not related at all to the previous movies.

reply

>> And it's not a trilogy since it's just a spinoff and not related at all to the previous movies <<

Ummm, last time I checked, all three Wolverine solo movies are "spinoffs" not directly tied into the "main" X-Men films (aside having Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and a few small cameos from the other X-Men actors) and all three are "stand alone" films that are NOT related to the previous entry or their successors... for example, The Wolverine (2013) doesn't reference the events of X-Men: Origins at all, takes place many decades later, and loosely follows up on events after X-Men 3: The Last Stand instead.

The films have entirely different casts, setting, and time period they're set in, with the ONLY common factor being Hugh Jackman as Wolverine himself.

reply

I know that very well. That's exactly what I was saying... Huuummm....

I was just focusing on Logan because it's the movie I like the least.

reply

they kept joking about gay sex

no wonder you liked it

reply

Yeah, gay jokes are funny, they’re a staple of the series, everyone likes them.

Only precious woke bitches like yourself object to them and offending obnoxious prudes is part of the fun.

reply

"obnoxious prudes" -- such an accurate description of them and yet they think they're the liberated ones...

reply

you both love gay jokes? lmao

reply

Nobody said anything of the sort. What's going on in your mind?

reply

👆🏻 It’s seething along with Kevin Feige

reply

Meh…I hated that they used a Madonna song for the trailer. Felt “woke” to me. I prefer my boy hero movies without music that’s trying to make me question my sexual identity.

Hard pass!

reply

The use of the Madonna song is ironic, humorous, and entirely in keeping with the tone of the series. Interesting that you see it as a threat to your ‘sexual identity’.

reply

You've got problems if you feel a song is trying to make you question your sexual identity,

reply

I am surprised some people think this movie is not woke, when it included a black actor in lots of scenes (Blade), a black female president, and lingered on that "coexist" slogan for a long time. Are those things not woke?

reply

No.

reply

What would be woke then

reply

Racist and sexist attacks on white males, forced ‘diversity’, and Leftist propaganda.

reply

Much like we'll get from making Kamala Harris President then, right?? Sounds like a disaster

reply

Yes, although the people will not be making Kamala president, if she ‘wins’ it’ll be because Dems/deep-state rigged the election again.

reply

And the usual "Where's the Evidence of this??" in 3 2 1

reply

😂🤡

reply

“It included a black actor”. Hahaha Jesus Christ. You pathetic anti-woke morons aren’t even trying to hide your bigotry anymore?

reply

You seem confused. Read the thread.

reply

Isn't that one of the things regular posters on here usually complain about?

reply

No

reply

Obvious troll is obvious.

reply

Deadpool is the most progressive superhero there is, you dumbfuck.

reply

Who the fuck asked you? Obnoxious prick.

reply

What's your level of autism?

reply

Fuck off

reply

The fact that it comes off too hard to be just that ("woke-free") is just as annoying as if were woke.

reply

It doesn’t ’come off too hard to be just that’ so your ‘fact’ is something you just pulled out of your ass.

There should be no woke, anywhere, in any movie.
