Are they ever gonna have the balls to kill any of the main characters?

Cause we're at season 4 and its not looking like it, it appeared they did with Hopper but quickly told us they pussy'd out and reminded us no one important dies in this show, only disposable side characters.

Its gonna be total bullshit if we end this show of 5 seasons with all these main characters constantly in life and death situations and none of them dies. I think even Millie Bobby Brown said she'd like to see them kill some characters.

At least one of the main cast of the kids needs to die imo, we gotta have 1 death, show us you have a little bit of balls and show us not everyone is safe.

I'm guessing that since season 5 is the last, one of the main characters will die as a sacrifice to save the others. I think it will be Steve.

They wrote a new character just to avoid killing any major character. What a cop out.

They have a track record of making us think a main character died at the end of the season, only to have them miraculously survive at the start of the new season. Hopper was the most egregious example.

1 - How did he survive a blast that vaporized everyone around him?
2 - How did he end up in the custody of the Soviets? Everyone else in the room was vaporized and the U.S. military was there moments afterwards? Russians still there would be trying to get the hell out, not try and capture some rando American, and even if they did, where would they take him? There are no back exits as if there were, they wouldn't use the mall loading dock to bring materials in.
3 - how he escaped and re-entered the Russian prison was beyond unbelievable.

So yeah, the main cast from season 1 are pretty much bulletproof.

I always thought it would have made more sense for him to have jumped into the upside down to survive only to be found on the other side by the Soviets while they were hunting for demos.

Agreed. And Max is beloved, but she wasn't in Season 1. They should've just killed her. Because in Season 5 she'll probably talk about how she should've just died (while recovering), echoing audience sentiments. I love the character, but for her to stay dead would've had more dramatic heft, a la Marissa in The OC. So since they didn't kill her, it'll really need to be justified for Season 5. Maybe it's a Sadie Sink thing, similar happened to her Fear Street character. Ooh, I need to rewatch that.

If you’re watching this show expecting them to kill off main characters all the time then you’re watching the wrong show, maybe try Game of Thrones. The MCU didn’t kill off any of the main Avengers until Endgame where they killed off Black Widow and Iron Man.

I predict in the final season of Stranger Things there will be one main character death and it’s going to be Steve. Either that or they don’t kill any main character, Return of the King style. I will be very surprised if it’s a bloodbath for the main characters, I just don’t see it happening.

For some reason I had a feeling a main character would die this season, and after Max narrowly escaped death in the middle of the season I thought it was going to be her. It would make sense. She's a later addition, has very little family and having her escape at the last second from Vecna twice seems like a stretch. It looked like I was going to be right but then we find out that Eleven can actually bring people back to life.

Steve or Jonathan is going to die. One of them will make a supreme sacrifice to save Nancy and the other guy. I'm betting Jonathan will be the one.

Agreed, would have like to see some of the main characters knocked off.. some got soo annoying, you'd wish they would be the next victims..!
