Who is your favorite character to hate? And Why?

All through the books, there were some characters I just hated with a vengeance...

Aelswith (Alfred's wife) - because she's a pinched-face, vicious, depraved *beep* who parades as a pious goody-goody.

Odder the Younger - because he's a devious, envious, fraud and sycophant.

Alfred - because he's a fraud incapable of owning his darker nature and so hides behind sanctimoniousness. Because he has a warped sense of justice. Because he's a brilliant, Machiavellian manipulator willing to do anything to achieve his goal. Even so, I could forgive all that if only he had a sense of humor...

Is that the young prince that Alfred usurped from? (not great grammar, I know). He's hysterical, especially that long grovel in the mud. TITS, I tell you!!!! Wonderful way of humiliating the sanctimonious Alfred and his hideous wife.

The character I probably dislike most is Alfred himself - the phrase "whey-faced boy" comes to mind. He might be smart but in the last episode, not someone I would consider a man of honor, or even gratitude.

Alfred didn't usurp the throne, he was the former king's chosen successor. The little twerp (I can not deal with some of these names, seriously) tried to usurp it from Alfred.

Asser is a good second, in my opinion.

I completely agree with everything you said.

I hate Odda the younger the most. He's a pathetic little worm. Uthred needs to cut of his head!

I absolutely hate Alfred wife. First of... her hair bothers me Sooo much. Second of all she acts like her *beep* don't stink. But the last few episodes Uthred had been getting on my nerves. Acting like a child.

Meh? I'm not feeling much hate yet. Although I wouldn't mind if Whatshisface the Younger fell into a pirahna tank.
