Who is your favorite character to hate? And Why?

All through the books, there were some characters I just hated with a vengeance...

Aelswith (Alfred's wife) - because she's a pinched-face, vicious, depraved *beep* who parades as a pious goody-goody.

Odder the Younger - because he's a devious, envious, fraud and sycophant.

Alfred - because he's a fraud incapable of owning his darker nature and so hides behind sanctimoniousness. Because he has a warped sense of justice. Because he's a brilliant, Machiavellian manipulator willing to do anything to achieve his goal. Even so, I could forgive all that if only he had a sense of humor...

Brida - What everyone said. They also made us watch her "getting humped." 😵😭
Queen Aelswith - Thank god she doesn't have that much screen time, but I found her unattractive like Brida in looks and personality.
Odda the Younger - stealing a poor girl's dowry when he's already rich?????? The hell's wrong with him??
Uhtred - He made my Leofric suffer

Alfred - I loved his character in the first half until his religious fanaticism and his constant betrayal of Uhtred got on my nerves. I love strategic visionaries with a dash of Machiavellianism but not too much. David Dawson was outstanding in his portrayal.
