I didn't understand one part (spoilers)
When Tony took the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos, or was it just the stone? What exactly did Tony do to beat Thanos?
shareHe removed the stones from the gauntlet (or some contraption in his nano-suit did) without Thanos realising, then he integrated them into his own suit, creating his own ad-hoc infinity gauntlet, thus allowing Tony to wield the stones.

shareThe stones are too powerful for a normal mortal to wield, so the effort killed Tony.

shareIt seems apparent from the scene in the movie that Tony was the only one close enough at the time.
Plus Strange seemed to be signalling, moments prior, and specifically to Tony, that this was the one scenario in which they win and that it all hinged on Tony's actions.
The fact that Strange had earlier stated that telling Tony how they win would cause them instead to lose also suggests that he had foreseen Tony's victory and thus his death.
Cause Robert Downey Jrs. contract ended and he wasnt willing anymore to prolong it. So he had to die. Its that easy. All they had to do was write a death scene for him.
shareHe had to die? Why? They could write him off in another way , that's just lazy writing , honestly that was a bad way to make Iron Man to go , especially watching his funeral and his 5 years old daughter and everyone there was heartbreaking , he deserved an happy ending , he didn't have to die.
shareHe has to die, there is no way around it. If the MCU continues and there is another global threat to humanity, Tonny can't just sit idly on the sideline just because he's retired, it contradicts his character. So they have to kill him off.
