Wow that was really rude of Shelly

Shes there with her daughter and apparently ex husband Bobby, they're having a very heartfelt moment with their daughter about getting her life together and out of a toxic unhealthy relationship. Then as i would assume her boyfriend comes up and she immediately grins and runs off to make out with him, right in font of Bobby no less.

That part just sucked, soon as i heard her last name was Briggs and they called Bobby i was like "Yes! they're together and married!" then that douchebag knocked on the window and she ran out to him like a school girl i realized what the deal was.

I mean how did she go from crying and sad about her daughter and having a nice moment with her family, to instantly happy and horny to go make out with her new boyfriend?

reply

Perhaps they split up after Becky was born, in which case, that was a long time ago and Bobby should be over it by now.

reply

I doubt it was that long ago since Bobby still seems to be affected by it, but regardless of how long ago it was she still shouldn't have instantly got happy and grinning and running off as if shes 18 and her boyfriend just rolled up on his motorcycle. She was seriously like "Fuck you Becky my boyfriends here! see ya!".

Soon she'll realize he's a scumbag drug dealer and the relationship will go up in flames anyways, so hopefully she'll get back with Bobby after that.

reply

Just because one side doesn't get over a relationship after x amount of years doesn't mean to say the other half has to feel the same way.

I wondered if Red was the little boy that lived next door to Harold Smith?

reply

What i'm saying is shes a grown woman and she was acting like a schoolgirl when he showed up, her daughter hours ago had a gun and gonna kill someone, she was thrown from the hood of a moving car by her daughter. I'm just saying alot of major shit went down that day and she just shook it off to go make out with her boyfriend.

She could have been like "Alright guys excuse me for a minute ____ is outside, be right back". Instead she got excited, grinning, got up and ran out without saying a word and just started making out with him. I dunno it just rubbed me the wrong way.

Giddy teenage love? Ever had it?

reply

If my daughter had been through what her has that day and i had been through what Shelly had i wouldn't be feeling like a giddy teenager in love.

reply

She's using the name "Briggs" so I wonder if they're divorced or just separated.

reply

Shelly is an enormous SLUT.

reply

Apparently she likes bad boys, Leo and Bobby in original Twin Peaks and now this drug dealing character "Red" in the new Twin Peaks. In case you didn't notice, he's the guy that is supplying drugs to Richard Horne.

reply

Yes I did notice and also the trick he performed, which is why I wondered if he was the neighbor boy.

reply

Shelley likes bad boys. Bobby isn't bad anymore.

reply

The daughter throws her mother off the hood of her car... and the OP is pointing out the bad form of kissing in front of an ex?... I'm not implying that you didn't care about that part... but it's just funny that that's the thing that stood out for you.

reply

I was pretty surprised she did that too. It's like she suddenly became a different character. It made no sense to act that way when a second before she was crying.

reply

Once the Twin Peaks slut, always the Twin Peaks slut. Norma knows it.

Shelly looks better at a distance anyway.

reply

I agree. That was really f***ed up.

"He's dead."

In my opinion, the very best part of that scene was Peggy Lipton's reaction shots to the Briggs' family conversation. Not only has Peggy aged very gracefully, she really knows how to act without saying a word. Her work in this scene was one of the few things that have impressed me in this final dead of TP.
